It's just following the Comics. Also I think it would be boring because of how the others are. Donnie would use his intellect to help him survive easily. Leo would well be Leo. Raph is basically a toned down Last Ronin Michelangelo. So I think it would boring, simply because Michelangelo had changed completely with a 180 in personality the others would adapt without truly having to deal with what Mikey had to deal with.

Raph got stuck in the past helping donnie make a cup of coffee. Not a joke. And he went to Japan found an orphan boy who had no name, took him in and trained him for three years. Then the other turtles show up and bring raph back to the present. And Oroku Saki opens a dojo that rivals master spliters sensei, says to himself after raph goes back "since every new journey begins with a single step, we will call ourselves The Foot, and I am your master, Oroku saki"
