If you didn't already know you can get the official AMD drivers and adrenaline and use AMD Fluid Motion frames to basically double your framerate in any dx11 or dx12 game. ETA Prime has a good tutorial and shows some games running on his channel

Fantastic video! Glad you put the amd image sharpening comparisons in the video. Makes a big difference. Is anything like that available for the steam deck oled?

There are scaling options that include sharpening on Steam Deck, but the resolution has to be below 800p and I found it's not worth it IMO. I prefer to just run 800p with a 45FPS cap on most games, then adjust the graphics settings to make sure it maintains 45FPS.

wow calibrating the triggers made a big difference especially in forza, had to adjust in game settings to get 100% throttle and brake, after calibrating i went back to default settings and was able to get 100% throttle and brake no problem

@@VelvetMagician Great, had an absolute blast, of course some issues still prevail to this day, such as the OS being glitchy at times, controls being clunky, but ASUS did a really great job improving and fixing the issues on the ROG Ally. Performance is still the same as the day i first got my hands on it if not better.

What Gpu temp the Ally can reach without issue in heavy games? In a Warzone game with the dock and 30w mode the “in game” temps said 95 degrees, it looks too much to me lol (i haven’t tried the amd overlay) fan fail?

Awesome video as always! Do you know of a way to disable the touch screen while in a game? My large thumbs tend to hit the screen at times causing unwanted inputs.

Thanks! I don't know of a way to disable the touchscreen. I don't think they'll add that either, mainly because someone could accidentally disable it that isn't familiar with technology and think the device stopped working. It's something I would like too as well, but I just don't think we'll see it.

Happy new year :). I'm on the latest driver directly from AMD 12.12.1, which was released on 12/5/2023. I have a video on how to do it, keep in mind this is outside of the Asus drivers and it's a bit of a work around to do: kzbin.info/www/bejne/ooWaf5eQh7KEm5Y. It'll matter most if there is a new game that comes out that AMD updates the driver for. Outside of that, the ones from Asus should work pretty good. I'm also on BIOS 335 which is basically identical in performance to 333 and 334 and is working well.

Great video as always just shared with a new ROG ally user. Quick one at the startup section there was a ROG screen manager and also showed up in the myasus updates section. What exactly does this service do ? I've uninstalled it as thought potentially it caused my xg mobile to sometimes reinstall its own old drivers. Haven't seen any negative impact after uninstalling it. Thoughts ?

I think it has something to do with the Ally screen waking up from sleep mode. So if you notice that the screen doesn't come on after it's been in sleep mode for a while that could be why. However I haven't tested it myself and it could have no impact to remove it. I prefer to use the Hibernate mode anyway since it works a lot better than sleep mode. Hope that helps :)

So i just got my ally and was doing the steps in the video and got to the core isolation step. When I go to open the page for core isolation I get a pop up that says Page not available. Any idea what is going on with this? I looked it up and had some people saying there was something turned off in BIOS that i needed to turn back on? Should I do that?
