As much as I hate thong sandals I ordered Empire sandal that is supposed to have a rubber sole with treads kinda like Chypre and I got a more dressy version called Elixir like the oran sole that has a slight flat heel. like .75 inch or so. I prefer the one they sent me but I was surprised.

I personally never had to do anything to polish the hardware but if I did, I'd just take it back to Hermes and let the craftsmen work on it 🫶

Great recommendations! I've been thinking of buying the Fresh boots for the next winter. How warm are they? I live in Finland so it does get... well, cold. Many designer boots look pretty but they don't do much when it comes to keeping my feet warm. Yet, these at least look nice, warm and comfy.

I'm afraid they won't do much for you either. There's absolutely no lining in them, so the only way to make them cozy is by wearing them with a pair of chunky socks 🫶

Hermes silks are a giant weakness of mine. I have 2 Silkin compact wallets because you get the delicious leather along with a matching silk. Love them. I also have 2 calvi because they are stupidly useful. I have business cards in them, cash, notes, medical cards, all manner of things I want to have on hand but rarely use. I love Hermes china. So much fun. Fortunately I am not a B, K or C fan so I don't need to face that climb.

You definitely need a great pair of wide leg / ballon-shape trousers in heavy wool to go with them for a more formal look..but they'd look equally great with a pair of jeans slightly turned up on more casual days 🫶

I thought the belt was Calle Romain and is 35? Honestly I've seen them change names like the Doll 60 wedge espadrille sandal is called something else now it's Elda and has a slightly shorter wedge hight.
