I started wearing the hijab because of all the things going on (like Trump and all the discrimination) because I wanted to show that I am proud to be Muslim even tho all these things are happening and I wanted to show that even if people might treat me different from my hijab I would still wear it and be proud. But surprisingly none of my friends really treated me different and they still accepted me. Inshallah for all of you who are starting it will be easy for you. ❤️

I found the perfect item for summer hijab! Stretch lace undercaps in lots of colors, so good looking you want to have some peeking out in front! I tested the lace with chiffon and gauze in 105°F heat! Passed with flying colors! Chiffon needs an undercap to protect your hair so the lace is perfect! I still use a pin with a safety cap to anchor it all to my bun scrunchy. Stays all day.

Thank you for this video. I am thinking about wearing the hijab but I keep bumping into videos mentioning that the hijab wasn’t written in the Quran and its reason is to avoid harassment from guys and such. Please any help because I want to be 150% convinced about wearing the hijab so I don’t end up removing it in the future. I want something to back up my decision knowing that it is an obligation from Allah.
@shootingstarz69785 жыл бұрын
Mariam H. I had the same issue as yours. I had agreed upon initially that there wasn't really a verse about the hijab. But then i realized how some Muslims had commented about Mother Mary wearing a veil. And I did more google search on the verses in Surah Nur... and found the word "khimar" and understood it well. See the thing is... the women during those times were already wearing a veil or headscarf i shall say, but it only went to the back without really covering their necks and their front. So It makes sense to me that verse says to take the ends of the headscarf to the front ( basically the correct hijab we wear nowadays) .This site Islamqa.info explains it well. I suggest you to read from it and think again . And also wish me the best because I will start wearing the hijab this week( my mum is quite against it tho my dad supports me) As a believer remember that we hear and obey Allah's commands. Asalamu Alaikum sister
@nadchos74635 жыл бұрын
I believe there's a video done by Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan in his That's Messed Up series where he addresses this issue, you can check that out for clarification!! All the best to you and may Allah accept your deeds and bless us all!!
@samantha.mariam5 жыл бұрын
Mariam H. Sorry for such a late reply! I’m only going through my comments now! But the two sisters above basically explains my stance well. The Quran refers to it as Khimar which is a head covering and it’s asking us to drape our head cover over our chest to cover that region with our scarf/khimar. I’ve seen the videos you’re referring to as well and I was almost convinced too until I realised that the Surah would make no sense if it was asking us to randomly just drape the scarf over our breast like a bandeau instead of our head. That’s when I researched it a bit more and yea, it seems like the misinterpretation is down to the translation from arabic to English as khimar doesn’t just mean scarf but rather a garment specifically put on women’s heads. Then if you look at the history and the fashion at the time, women did wear like a “wedding veil” where everything is at the back and nothing covers the front. But with everything, verify it for yourself too love and make a decision on what you are ready to do 😊 Hope everyone is having a great Ramadan ❤️

I think I commented once about I will wear hijab this year but anyway. Thank god I got green light from my mum this year. I tried to persuade her to let me wear it although our family is actually a mixed religion family. So, I started wearing hijab already around 20th January 2021. Alhamdullillah. So far, I am still working from home. So, I am not sure if there will be any changes of interaction or perspective from my colleagues and bosses. However, I will try to stay strong and keep on believing that whatever happens must be a reason and if anything goes wrong, Allah S.W.T will open another way for me. If not now, when will be the perfect time? So, I chose to wear it now. There will be no perfect or right time unless I wear when I am sure of my decision. P/S: I already started wearing loose clothes long time ago even before hijab. However, I am updating my long sleeves clothes gradually.

panda kwii it’s not stupid at all. The first week I wore it, I had to go to a makeup event and then to work where both places expected me to look like my “old self”. It’s human nature to feel nervous but just give people time to adjust to your new look. When they ask you why you’re wearing it, just explain that you’re muslim and it’s part of the religion so you made the decision to wear it. May Allah make it easy for you Inshallah ❤️

It may be a bit uncomfortable at first because you will think that everyone is looking at your hijab but don’t let it get to you. Just remember you are doing nothing wrong. You have the right to wear what you want just like any other person. And most of all, you are doing it because of the love you have towards our God and that is a beautiful thing ❤️

It's actually a hadith, the prophet pbuh narrated, women who have bumps in their hair that resemble camels humps are cursed. It's disliked by Allah swt so it's not good for you to be guiding people to wear hijab in such a way. Wear the bun lower and not to high on the top of your head. Research it, it's a authentic hadith. It is proven in Saheeh Muslim and elsewhere from Abu Hurayrah that the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said: “There are two types of the people of Hell whom I have not seen: men with whips like the tails of cattle with which they strike the people, and women who are clothed but naked, walking with an enticing gait, with something like the humps of camels on their heads. They will not enter Paradise nor even smell its fragrance, and its fragrance can be smelled from such and such a distance.” Whoever claims that this hadeeth is not saheeh and that what it mentions of the severe punishment is not true is ignorant and has gone astray from the path of sharee’ah, and he deserves a punishment that will deter him and other ignorant people like him who object to the saheeh ahaadeeth that are soundly narrated from the Messenger of Allaah (صلى الله عليه وسلم). May this help you and other sisters Insha'Allah

Haha I’ve had several rants about them but I’m pretty sure no matter what I say or anyone for that matter, those people are just gonna believe in what they want and think of everything as haraam anyways lol. Imagine being that bitter about everything...yikes! Just ignore them love and keep doing your best ❤️

while I dun agree with people whom you may regard as the 'hijab police', I also do highly suggest to not merely ignore what they have to say and maybe do some research on your own regarding what was being pointed out and make your own decision on what you think you should do. No Muslim is perfect however we also have to work towards improving ourselves and continuously seeking for truth and knowledge. At the same time, I disagree with people imposing their views onto others such as the 'hijab police'. One of our roles as Sisters is to advise other Sisters whom we notice may be deviating from the correct teachings, but we should not force our opinions on others. I hope this doesn't come off negatively and I hope that all of our deeds are accepted by Allah and may we work towards becoming a better Muslim every day :)
