This takes top marks as one of the best gbb reviews ever. I despair at most of the utterly crap YT reviews these days. For example, 5 minutes of rambling bollox etc with the gun still in the box, banging on about crap we don't want to hear etc. Also along with consistent incorrect terminology. For example, a gbb has a frame and slide. A slide is a slide, it's NOT a "top slide" it's NOT a "top slider" etc. Same with the frame, it's a frame. It's NOT "the lower", it's NOT a "receiver", nor a "lower receiver" - those terms largely refer to rifles. I've even heard someone call the G17 take-down tabs as "these things" This was different - very good review buddy. Video quality great / sound great / to the point, with all we need to know. Keep up the good work mate, and I've subscribed.

After buying a WE i discovered nobody makes aftermarket WE blowback housings so no lightweight versions unless you drill the OEM part, everything else fits TM stuff so is upgradeable. Not sure on piston heads either there's loads for TM but the WE is different seems nobody makes aftermarket piston heads for WE. If i was to do my build again I would 100% buy a TM it makes so much sense with the upgradeability
@willowrabbit4 жыл бұрын
What do you mean? I drop TM blow back housings into all my WE slides. not a problem at all. WE nozzle is 13.7mm or 14mm depending on the age while a lot of TM spec housings are 13.5mm so you need to swap the orings but thats no a problem.

The Marui plastic slides are one of the main reasons to consider them. Not only because they're snappier, but mainly because they're more gas efficient. And that's not even important because gas is expensive or refilling is annoying, the main part is that the light weight plastic slides will still cycle well in cold temperatures with regular green gas. The heavy metal ones won't even get enough pressure out of a single refill to reliably dump the regular mag full of bbs.

The sticking on a slow cycle is just the outer barrel hitting the ramp on the lower to return it back to its locking tabs in the slide. I have a WE glock with the same issue, no impact on performance when using it, just seems odd when you hand cycle the slide slowly

@@rayvirile I mean TM are basically the gods of Airsoft. Inventors of the AEG ect ect. Honestly for us in Ireland both North and South, Yes. The Gen4 didn't like green gas? In what way? I've been running my TM glocks on Abbey Predator, Abbey Brut and Abbey Vertex gas for years without issue. My G34 shoots circa 315FPS and my G17 circa 280FPS with Brut gas, fitted with PDI 6.01 tightbore barrels. I'd be interested to compare the older gen G17 to the new ones for felt kick. The newer G19 I tried certainly felt good on green gas. How's the MP7 holding up?
@BIGBIRDSAIRSOFT4 жыл бұрын
Silver Fox Airsoft it fires fine but when the mag emptied, instead of locking back it took a chunk out of the plastic part of the slide. Almost like it didn’t have time to lock. It did it twice, but the was fine on 134a gas. I thought it was due to the bigger cylinder but the G19 has the same size cylinder. MP7 is going strong, no problems at all. All on green gas.

very good video review mate. You own my subscribe. Btw, with all the buffer on the recoil rod, will this G17 Gen 4 accept green gas without issue? I read one of the comment saying that green gas remove a chunk of plastic from the slide. Can you explain what exactly happening? How esthetically the slide now look like after the incident? Still OK? Thank you.
@BIGBIRDSAIRSOFT4 жыл бұрын
Extra Mile hi mate thanks for the sub 👍 the slide is okay, it damaged a very small piece of the plastic on the slide release where it’s thin. However, I have now trimmed the broken bit and you wouldn’t notice it really. It’s only 1mm x 1mm, so very small and still the same shape. It now works with the green gas as it just has the metal catch to latch. It was a real shame and I still don’t know how or why it happened, I may just have been unlucky but it did it twice. Other than that, it’s a really great gun.
