$400 is crazy. When I got my first TF private line in 2008, I think I got it for under $235 retail for 50ml. The price now is just insulting, as a consumer.

I smelled it at Sephora and I loved the opening. The dry down is pretty good too, but I'm sensitive to nuttiness, and this is pretty nutty in the dry down. Great review though. It's been awesome seeing your progression.

$400 for 50ml?!?! I almost bought it until the negative reviews. I searched high and low for a non-artificial vanilla scent and I just discovered Spiritueuse Double Vanille by Guerlain and got the 100ml for a similar price and it lasts alllll day and smells so rich of vanilla bean and notes of rum.

I got it as Christmas gift , I like it but not love it , the dry down is nice sandalwood vanilla and creamy almond , I think it will be better after macerate . The price is insane .

Tom Ford is moving upmarket. After the success of Bitter Peach, they've been launching new fragrances like Cherry smoke and now this Vanilla fragrance. It is a smart move from a business perspective because Tom Ford's brand is still solid.

Smells super synthetic to me and then like vanilla play doh in the dry down- actually reminded me a lot of hypnotic poison on my skin. My Mom said it smelled like root beer to her.

I was wondering why the top note was so funky when I initially spritzed my wrist with it today - glad to know it's not just me and you also found it synthetic/plasticky. I did love the way it developed into a more vanilla, almost white chocolate base note over the course of the day. I was getting a strong chocolatey smell at the dinner table and I couldn't realize at first why LOL. Honestly I couldn't stop smelling my wrist in private. I love the after-smell, but like you said, not worth the $400 price tag for a 50 mL bottle (if you can even call that a bottle!) - as someone who is an avid user of TF's classics like Noir De Noir, Costa Azzurra, the pricing saddens me. Makes a 70 mL MFK fragrance look like a bargain for that price!

Got the fragrance last week and it is absolutely NOT worth the price tag. Beautiful sent for sure, but it doesn't blow me away. Sillage and projection are minimal, and it doesn't last on skin. Overall, disappointing.

I have yet to try a Tom Ford fragrance that’s worth the money. Don’t get me wrong, some of them are okay, but not good enough for the price. Initio is good for the price, BDK is good for the price, Dyptique is good for the price, MFK, just to name a few. Tom Ford just ain’t it. The DNA of their fragrances is not exciting or unique at all, and most of them not even last long. So this review is not surprising to me. I would have been shocked if it was all around a good fragrance 😂

Disgusted with this perfume. Silly me, I blind bought. It smells. Of. NOTHING. I have over so many cheap, designed, niche perfumes, you name it. This was gone from my skin after two minutes. DO NOT BLIND BUY! My own fault 😡

Pricey doesn't always mean exelent quality. I will sometimes ask a females advice but would rather try before y buy something. Money is not an issue but I like to see the real reaction on a females response on the samples. Then I take it from there.

Tom Ford marketing is just testing the reception I bet, see how far they can push the price tag for fragrances before sales actually dip a significant amount. I'll stick to older TF Frags like Noir Extreme personally, much better value.

Even I have read hundreds of negative review on this bottle, I still disappointed when I first smell this. The opening is really a no for me, the plasticky is weird and the boring in the dry down. I can't find a reason to grab this bottle even at discounters. Crazy Tom Ford with the overpricing and boring notes.
