Hey Jhon, let's see if you can help me figure out why I'm coming up with something slightly different. After I use the Flood Fill to change the tops of the letters to Curves along with changing their color, they do not stay on top of the word 'LIKE' as independent layers over in the Layers menu. When I do it, each piece that I change turns into a child layer of 'LIKE' and clips the top pieces of the letters. All of my 'Flood Filled' letter pieces (oddly) & automatically turn into masks instead. Any idea on why AD includes an extra step and turns each colored piece into a mask? They all nest under 'LIKE' automatically for some reason. 4:50 - When I first saw your video months ago, I got this exact same result but since I was brand new to Affinity back then, I just figured that I was doing something wrong - but now, I completely understand exactly what is happening, but I STILL don't know why that technique is giving me a slightly different result from you.
