THIS is what I wanted to see. All the other manufacturers had a bunch of folders. I want some fixed blades. The Camp Creek, Impact & Woodcraft all look like nice options to me.

11:00 Lots of iron-age knives all across Europe and the near-East had the end of the tang forged into a ring. This wasn't just a finger ring, it was the ancient version of the universal lanyard hole. Some ancient Celtic knives have been found in France and Belgium with rings like that. Also, the "tanto on both sides" tip shape is just a dagger point. Since this is a dagger, calling it "dagger point" is fitting. The ancient romans had daggers too, that would be a modern pugio, not a "modern gladius"; "gladius" literally means "sword", from the PIE/Celtic "Kledios".

Tops knives is such a great company. I was a dealer for them in the mid 2000s. Did a lot of gun shows and sold quite a few. Didn't know mike passed away. RIP sir. Good to see they are still very successful

I was thinking the same thing. Plus, it would actually benefit the user because you could just hook your finger in the ring and draw the knife very quickly from the sheath.

The US Combat Knife was the very first knife I'd bought when I started getting into knives after learning the carry laws here. I'm so excited for the new Szabo knife, double edged version!! I sharpened the swedge into a false edge on my USC Knife, so I saw this new knife and, yeah, I'm in love... Right on, TOPS!

Joe Flowers can tell you about the Roman connection with Ring on the bottom of the handle of the modern Gladius. A few other Roman knives had this feature!.👍👍👍👍👍.

The close ring is the point of that style of knife. I would suggest the opening like you made but add shock cord to close the ring so that you do not lose the functionality of the blade but you can still escape from the ring if you need to.

Love TOPS Knives and designs; absolutely hate that these are so hard to get a hold of. Been trying to buy a Storm Vector for about a year now with ZERO luck. TOPS are like the Kel Tech of the knife world - Awesome design and innovation, zero actual inventory.

There is one key benefits to the Papa Delta that you didn't mention. It can be used concurrently with a firearm. In other words, if held correctly, I could keep this in my left hand while still firing a handgun with two hands. The only other knife that addressed this well is the Skallywag Tactical MDV. Where the MDV still has an advantage is the revolutionary Kydex sheath design. Both knife designs would be exceptional in CQB. I urge you to look at that Kydex sheath though.

The Silent Hero was made for the South African bush, by a South African, but I wish Tops could make a Silent Hero XL. 1/4" thick, 10" long blade. My Orignal SH is struggling to process the wood from the camelthorn trees in my area of South Africa.
