I think what Phil said in his review about no super crazy new features and just some good quality of life improvements is honestly all I really need to know before giving this cube a try, and is pretty much all I need in the cube as well, but I’m glad to see your thoughts on this too!

I don't get the repelling magnets in the corner. This should in theory prevent self alignment. Imagine a cube being at 30 degrees or less. At some point the tiny magnets will push the corner away from moving towards the bigger magnet. So those tiny magnets in the corner just prevent a corner from accidentally getting pushed out of place when dropping the cube. Which to me is a solution without a problem

I think the repulsion is significantly weaker and the attraction is significantly stronger than the repulsion. That’s the only way I could see this work

Maybe you don't need to "upgrade" to the V4. However, there was an issue with magnets falling into corner pieces in the V3, that they have supposedly fixed in the V4, so it may be worth upgrading it for that reason alone if that was a problem for you, like it has been for me

Yeah I decided to get the flagship version. I don't care for blocky cubes/ tight cubes very much (in fact it's my only issue with the V10, my current main; it's too tight). The extra edge magnets seem to be more of a hinderance than a help, and for being a matte finish cube, it's still really glossy, so I'm not too worried about grip.

recently, my tornado v3 flagship broke, and ive been looking to get it replaced. should i get the v3 pioneer (the maglev seems fun to try out), the v4 flagship (its similar to the v3 which i loved) or the v4 pioneer (the maglev and uv coating also seem cool, but i love the feeling of the 3 and if this one is much different, maybe i wont like it as much)

I'm actually kind of happy they didn't change too much, especially if nothing's a problem, it doesn't need fixing. What I've heard about the v4 vs the v3 which I'm excited about is the durability, my v3 core snapped apart and my cube was no longer functional. But I've heard that was one of their main focuses towards the v4, and since that was my only problem with the v3 and the v4 is pretty much a v3 but with better plastic, I can use my favorite cube again.

I was a fan of the Tornado v3 pioneer version and I used it as my main. However, one of the stems connecting to the core suddenly snapped. Since then, I've been dissatisfied as I had to switch back to my Gan 12 Maglev. I've also never owned a UV coated cube. Would getting the Tornado V4 pioneer be worth it? Should I get the flagship version? Or are there any really good cubes that I can get? The repelling magnets seem like a red flag to me...

Most people say the TV4 flagship say it's a TV3.5 cuz' it's almost the same but the reason is that: If it ain't broke don't fix it, the TV3 was soooo good that it just needed some improvements and implemented on the TV4 flagship and the newer tech was added to the pioneer as like a very premium upgrade But a GIANT asterisk bcuz it's just my opinion

I heard the V3 is a great cube, but after reading a ton of reviews, there is definitely a chance the magnets will fall out. If they did not change anything with the V4 pertaining to that situation, I will likely pass on the V4. Great video though.
