NEW TRACTOR Massey Harris 744 P.D with Perkins P6 Diesel Engine

Here is my latest purchase to add to my collection, MH 744 P.D with serial number 924. I have imported it from Australia and i believe i am now the 3rd owner. It has spent its entire life on the same farm from new in 1949 when it was originally exported from the UK to AUS. As with most Australian tractors the kind climate preserves the metal work and with this example it shows. I was even lucky enough to receive the original operators manual and parts list which was with the tractor from new. I will replace all the tyres with new Good Year Diamond pattern tyres. Nice straight original tractor. Long way to get it from Australia. I am in Australia and have just picked up a 744 myself.

The 744 are nice old tractors either original or restored. Its a long way to purchase a tractor but well worth it, its certainly better than what it looked on the photos which makes a change. If possible upload a video of your 744, I would like to see it. Thanks

Yes they certainly are nice at least in my opinion. and also useful nice low end torque good for pulling and also pushing trolleys and portable engines and other things around. I use another 744 at Lake Goldsmith for shunting purposes. I have it all cleaned up and repairs made just waiting on new linings now.
