And again, your video nailed it, I bought a 96 ls400 two months ago. I felt rather than heard the vibration. Absolutely caused by a broken transmission mount ( funny, the book refers to it a rear engine mount). One thing, do not over torque the 12mm bolts. I broke one. Got it out, and the repair was complete, and fixed the issue. Thank you so much.. Great video, loved the success ride at the end.. thanks again..

Awesome video. I have a question. I have a vibration at idle that goes away when I out it in neutral (99 LS400). I also have a vibration/shudder from 0-35 mph. Does that sound similar to your issue? I plan to replace my mount step by step the way you described here and see if that works. Thanks!

I’m replacing mine as soon as the part gets here. I got into an accident a minute ago after a Prius break checked the absolute shit out of me and ever since then I can feel the transmission from the shift nob moving back and forth when I apply my breaks. the shift nob is also miss aligned and if I break really hard it moves it out of gear. I had it sitting for like a year and a half and after running it after sitting that long it was back to normal for a minute like it settled in. But after driving it for a minute it started to shift around. I’m gonna replace it and come back here to let anyone else who has a similar problem know if it fixed it
