I got the NEW Traxxas XRT! It's an 8s BEAST of an RC. And I may have jumped it into the powerlines. This is my first run and first impressions!

Dude that first minute or so, WOW. I caught myself smiling and it kept getting bigger. I’ve prob watched 5-6hrs of xrt reviews/run vids and yours is the only one that made me wanna buy one, was sceptical since multiple youtubers broke the wing mount. I’ll get one in the spring when it starts warming up, until then I’ll be upgrading 3 trx4m and adding onto my indoor track. Great to see you back man👍

Came here to write something along the same lines. Too many KZbin smash the cars up in 15 minutes call them unreliable, then chuck on a load of upgrades with a new video singing their praises. This guy has obviously wanted an XRT, got excited about getting an XRT, got an XRT and is now totally in love. Good!

In order to get it to go 50 miles an hour out of the box you need to have that Bluetooth module on your radio and do the updates for the ESC. With the Traxxas app going to throttle from the garage and the ESC is set in sport mode at 100%. You can turn it up to 120% that will give you 50 mph on the stock gears. That is how you turn up the punch setting on your ESC on a stock Traxxas.

The different camera angles showing the workings of the vehicles just show how violent these cars are and how much punishment they can take. Brilliant video. Beats reviewers deliberately trying to wreck stuff and then mod it as soon as its out of the box.

Happy to see you are well, What an amazing video as always, the camera angles, the shots, it really felt like I was the one driving it, really immersed me in the video. You just have fun with it, it is yours and yours only, you worked hard for all of it and it is great to see you are enjoying and having fun. That is one durable RC, Traxxas seems to have outdone themselves, making bigger and tougher RCs that can handle terrain better, I guess this could be the E Revo's bigger cousin, it felt like a revo but it lacks the versatility of the revo in the air it seems but that's of course because its so heavy and big and I guess they sacrificed the torque for the speed but it looks like an amazing RC I fell in love with it the first time I saw it online but that price tag tells me to wait a few years hahahaha, the e revo looks really appealing with that lowered price tag now though.

Thanks! I don't think the price is going to drop in a few years. The XMaxx is still $999.95 on the Traxxas site. Sometimes they have a deal. I'd pick one up then.

The best review on the XRT I've watched. Nicely done!! As an X-Maxx owner I really want this beast to add to my collection. I don't send my RC's "to the moon" and I barely break much on my X-Maxx so the XRT looks like a winner out of the box. Good old plastic.. don't get why people hate plastic hey... I very much prefer it on the bigger stuff in particular. The stock ESC on mine lasted near 4 years and still works well but put a Max6 in mine just for more punch and it transformed it immeasureably!!!. Think that'll be the first mod on the XRT when I get one. Cheers for sharing the blast you had with yours!!

I'll be honest with you. I have been subscribed for awhile now because your honesty on reviews and a nice guy and personality. However I typically enjoy hardcore bashing videos and don't watch a ton of yours.... Having said that your intro / musical choice beginning and on board footage mixed with saying not gonna send it then you do because you mixed in later footage at the beginning. Was absolute top notch video at it's best. This maybe the best video I have ever seen you make. The first 2 minutes of this video was absolute fire 🔥🔥🔥. Keep it up! And thank you

That was the best intro ever 😂 I don't know how I missed this video when it was first published, just had it recommended by KZbin now. Anyway, I got to try a friend's XRT and was a bit underwhelmed with it out of the box, but with speed gearing it felt better already. I feel like I'd need Sledgehammers and HW Max6 to have fun with it. But it's definitely the best-looking Traxxas ever in my opinion! Wish they made a Maxx-sized one.
