I seem to be spotting this quite a bit. KZbin reviewers come out with commentary entitled eg 'is there still a role for endurance road bikes?', talk about how they might be squeezed between road and gravel but don't really answer their own question. Then, the comments under reviews of the best endurance bikes have plenty of comments like yours indicating there absolutely is!

I thankfully bought my Domane for half the price from Evans Cycle. But if I'm honest with you, it is quite disappointing that it weighs 9ish kg even with the SL6 componentry, and originally, cost north of £3k. Now seeing these new "lightweight" generations coming out and the pricing on it makes me sick and think "who on earth is silly enough to buy this, at that price?" It's just utterly disgusting to hear 10% this, 10% that! But I am not of those of the 10% of the population who can actually benefit from the "10% increase in aero at 45km/h." Like come on!
