I have always loved the marquise diamond. Its rare & unique unlike the other shapes. Also I've observed the marquise diamond shape looks much bigger than other diamond shapes of the same carat weight. I would never. IMO a marquise and heart shaped diamonds are the worst. A marquise reminds me of old ladies, rose perfume, dollies and plastic on a sofa. If I’m spending $10,000 or more I want a classic shape not something that will look dated. Round all the way for me. it may be “boring” but it will never go out of style.
