That is one sweet system. It is better to work smarter then harder.

Thanks for the demo a few months ago Tom. I got an e mail from Mark about the 2 for 1 sale on the Flex system, so I decided to buy that system.

Ok few more questions. When you had the new earthworks system put on did they have to change the harness and sensors also or would they inter change. When you cut slopes, do you need a laser with slope ? The cat dealer told me their grade control would not do slope unless the laser I had did slope also this doesn't seem correct to me. Thanks
@evilnia7 жыл бұрын
Hatya05 that's because it's 2D. Komatsu's integrated excavator will do full 3D with semi-automatic control and grade protection. It also doesn't put sensors on the h-link or bucket, which are prone to being knocked off.
@dangorst77366 жыл бұрын
I had the 2D GCS900, upgraded to the system in the video. When Trimble fitted the new system they used all my original sensors. They added the new ECM and new harness. There’s a very small lag in the height data but not noticeable

Hey buddy, thank you for making great videos!! How does the automatics work with the Trimble GPS on the excavator? Also how much does this system cost ?
@samcookson10297 жыл бұрын
What's the cost? Do you think I can put it on my 305c cr? Thanks.

Did yours have a augmented reality camera option? I'm just learning how to use dye trimble earthworks and payload management systems. Waiting on sitech to come out now and show me how to use the autos , payload etc etc. After almost 30 years playing in the dirt the excavators pretty much run them selves

How weather proof are they? Could this system be run on an open cab?
@newzealandearthmover40087 жыл бұрын
is the screen in real time with the bucket? looks to be. also do h think where the sensor is positioned on the back of the bucket could get damaged there? sometimes when u push rocks or hard material back it could get damaged. apart from that it looks to be a cool system! I would like to try it.
@evilnia7 жыл бұрын
New Zealand Earthmover yes, it's common for operators to knock them off. Maybe not so much if you're an owner-operator and take care.

You showed measuring from two points in a vertical line away from the machine, can you set a point, then swing to another point and measure that?
@DirtNinja7 жыл бұрын
No you can not rotate. The machine doesnt know when you rotate. However you can buy a rotation sensor and then yes you would be able to do what you described.

How easily can you remove the screen if you don't want to leave it in the machine on a job at night
@DirtNinja7 жыл бұрын
Very easy. I should have shown that... Its one screw on connection into the back of the screen. You can take it on and off in literally 5 seconds.
