New trolley extension connects San Ysidro with La Jolla

The San Diego Trolley Mid-Coast extension of the UC Blue Line to La Jolla opened on Nov. 21. The addition connects San Diego City College to all three major San Diego universities by light rail. And in turn, it connects San Ysidro and its U.S.-Mexico port of entry with La Jolla and the UTC area. Produced by Philip Salata, City Times Media.

They plan on putting a smaller tram from the airport to airport parking on Harbor Island to Santa Fe Depot Trolley station in the near future. The whole trip would take less than 10 minutes, supposedly.

They need to get rid of the chopper line unless they're going to make it go all the way to Kearny Mesa Viva Poway in Ramona Claremont all the way to UTC Mall

Except that it doesn't really go to La Jolla. It goes to UTC. As far as I am concerned, La Jolla is west of the 5 and when people think of La Jolla, they think of La Jolla Cove. I used to live a block from UTC and I never told people I lived in La Jolla.

Airport! Route is now in the study phase and SANDAG/MTS hopes to build it in the next decade.
