Make sure you replace the down pipe whenever you straight pipe it because the factory one is super restrictive. Another good thing to do is replace the air intake with a more free flowing one. Other than those things, it really is a nice reliable truck to have so congrats man.

fun story same truck so i bought same truck 97 crew cab 4x4 powerstroke , 7.3 bought it new , traded in in 01 to a ford dealer , bought a f 350 dually dump , i new the name and addresss of who bought my truck , lived 20 minutes away , always wondered , was it even at the address anymore but never drove down the road or knocked on door , so missed that truck , one day month ago i heard a diesel pickup rumble by and there she was my old truck ,i knew because she had the junior westcoast mirrors that have the support rods into side of doors , rare feature , my brother and i watched it go by 4 times this one saturday , the next week i waited until 4 30 and followed the young guy home he bought 1 week earlier from the old timer ,. he owned 20 years , i made a good offer and shes in my stable again after 20 years away

Reed Nolan for sure man only main differences is that you got the ranch hands which I would love to have but I can’t find any for sale locally unless I get some new ones but I’d rather throw the money I got into the engine lol and then I ahve the old school tow mirrors with the four attachment points and then yours obviously is a lot cleaner lol norther rust sucks ass I’d love to be back in south Texas if you wanna see it check out my insta @cottonmouth_7.3

I have a 2001 7.3 and I just put a 4 inch mbrp turbo back with the muffler and personally it was exactly what I wanted. Quiet enough you can still think but loud enough you know it’s there. It also took my 0-60 from about 14-15 down to 12
