Other than a few holes not quite lining up on the chassis it's a fun kit to build and great vfm, I believe the kit is from 2014, looking forward to seeing it run...if you film it

Great unboxing Tel!! The red, like you said, is going to really make this truck pop. This is going to be a great build. This rig is definitely stouter and thicker cast than I thought. It's going to be as rugged as the MC6 and MC8. Glad your not going to a piece by piece build but an overview. Good idea. I don't envy you picking out the cool parts to show because there is going to be a ton of them. I just wondering how long before Andrew prods you into a bog with it. LOL. Maybe he will go easy on you when he sees for this first time. Your going to have a gorgeous rig either on the shelf of in the dirt. Thanks Steve. It was good to chat on the live chat. I didn't realise I could do that lol. I will try and get on again as it was good. Really glad you enjoyed it. It was hard keeping this video to 22 minutes, I could have gone into so much more detail but didnt want people falling asleep. Hopefully the chapters will help some people. I have wanted this rig for a long time, it is so different to the standard regular 1/10th stuff out there and our general aim is to get the channel views up so try and feature different things. The first build is done, most likely it will be released next Wednesday. The hard bit is not too build it too fast lol, I need to win the lottery so I can buy a constant supply of trucks. The hard work putting these videos together is all worth it when the comments come in like this so thank you. Cheers Tel.

Very nice and I agree this is the best version. Being a earlier manual it could have a few issues as they did get a lot better with the later kits Cross brought out. Look forward to the build.

Cheers Mal. Yes, the gearbox i have noticed is different inside. They put the gear change rod in the wrong way round. Having opened the gearbox it turned out the shaft with the two speed gears doesn't have c clips on it. The manual says it should. The mc6 and bc8 have. This must be an older gearbox. It works fine but I was puzzled. It will be in the first build video.

@@antrc Not surprised with the gearbox being a little different. The oldest Cross I have is the MC4 that was a manual to fight a little with. One thing I did notice the older wheels and tyres looked like they went together better not like my MC8.

The kits certainly aren't perfect that's for sure. I haven't found one that is to be fair. I have discovered that the plastic axles on my mc6 do not keep the dirt out as well as the metal ones on Andrews mc8. I expected a difference but not such a big difference. We drive through the same stuff. My axles are horrible inside. His are clean. It means an upgrade for me at some stage.

@@antrc awesome was thinking about possibly trying to polish them or paint them. Not a big fan of the white but if they’re metal you could do all kinds of stuff I’ve also seen people using different wheel set ups by running the standard pg4 Axel looks like there’s definitely some good options how is the truck working so far
