New Tunnel under the Helsinki Railway Station OPEN! - May 2024

A quiet Sunday morning checking out the new pedestrian/cycling tunnel going under the Helsinki center main railway station. It was opened a week ago, on Saturday 4th of May 2024.
It was about 9 or 10 AM, and really quiet. I think I was the only one in the tunnel on my first pass 😀
Typical Finnish spring weather, really warm in the sunshine, but rather cool in the shadows.
Plus: there's another small BONUS tunnel "preview" later in the video 😀 Seems like Baana is ready to be opened again soon 👍
Also, there's once again another building being demolished in the end of the video.

Very nice tunnel! But I wish they had also included stairs to the various platforms! would speed up getting there quite a lot as you don't have to go the end of the platform to get onto it!

Stair connection is provided through the old underpass next to Kaisantunneli (which you can access via a smaller tunnel)
