This is a beautiful blade but keep in mind with 684 LED pixels it’s like running 3 blades at once. Battery life will drain much faster so I do recommend looking to an 18650 15a battery to run these blades.
Battery life will vary, depending on animations, blade style, colors, and many other variables.

Wouldn't be surprised if in the future this is what most people end up using. Personally I'd love to one day see some be usable with heavy dulling and not risk the leds going out.

Can you do a comparison with the civilized saber blade you have?

It needs to be compared to a tri- or quad-star blade, comparing it to a standard 2 strip blade really isn’t a fair comparison. Personally I have a tri-star blade as well as one using the quantum strip from Sabertec which would be a much more apt comparison

This is a very fair video as it is showing what people can upgrade in to directly from Artsabers from what they offer. One is the standard that comes with a package and the other is what they can get directly from the accessories section if they want something brighter. This video is not a "brightest blade" shoot out video. It's just a product showcase of a new blade. I also have a KRv2, Tri-star, quad-star, quantum and now this blade and maybe at some point I'll another bright blade shoot out video when i have some time.

its not only the runtime that decreases, its also the overall lifespan that is affected. Be ready to buy new ones more frequently.

How do you even fit that many LEDs in the blade, and still gave enough room to defuse it?

I just got mine. The problem is that our batteries 3200 mah 18650 10A are not powerful enough to power both the speaker and the blade. I have to put the sound to mute on my SN V4 pro and select the green or red color which uses less rgb leds than the full white. 😢

Have you tried upgrading the battery? Is that even safe to do?

@ I have 10 A continuous discharge which is pretty much the maximum we are going to get from those 18650 batteries.

@@pacificateur3630 Is it still giving you issues? I decided to go with the Sabertec Quantum blade bc of the issues I keep hearing about the Ultrabright. I also just ordered an SNV4 Pro and didn’t want to risk it.

@@Zero8880 Good decision. Go with the brands whose sabers come with a 21 000 or 28 650 battery… that is able to fully power those new blades.

I do prefer the 32" blade over the 36" though, but I ordered 2 different sabers last week, the TXQ Snv4 Obiwan Kenobi Ep 4 and the Ultimate Works Calcross V2. The 36" will be better suited for the huge Calcross.

I'm just curious how these LED s work in accordance with the saber and actually detecting all those LEDS. Do you program the board to detect 684 or just the determined blade length?

How long does the 18650 last by comparison? Rough estimate?

I see this blade circulate from Nexus/Damian/LGT (what ever they are called) lately. They are not known for doing wiring the proper way sometimes and not use quality parts. Im afraid this set up will drain batteries fast and the blades lifespan will be short. Quadruple the LEDs for brightness isn't quite the answer.

@@jeremydrew1227 they probably wire the adjacent leds together in such a way to reduce the power draw. I feel like this setup is mostly to reduce the two dark lines on the blade instead of purely increasing brightness. That being said, it's probably best to stick with the 32 inch as a maximum.

@@jeremydrew1227 The future boards will need to be adapted for a more powerful battery. 🔋 The 18650 3200 mah have reached their limits, as they cannot do good sound and juice up 684 leds.

I think sabermax and darkwolf sabers were the first to offer these blades. And I believe they ship worldwide too. You could always drop them a message to ask.

​We do not we refuse to sell these 6 sided strips due to less then 20min run time. Blade goes dim after running for a few minutes in the blade tip u can see the tip threads and has no tip leds so tip is dark very noticeble. Blade is not ready for current board outputs. Yes its bright for a few minutes but not for current board standards drains baytery by 10% every few minutes until then we will not be selling this product yet. ​@@adamr6206

@jeremydrew1227 do you think I meant a car battery or something....? They are all 18650 batteries, that means they are all the same physical size. When I said "bigger" I meant bigger capacity. Obviously a larger object cannot fit inside a space meant for a smaller object. The actual problem I'm having is with removing the original battery, as there's no real way to get a tool or something under it to pry it out.

buh bye battery run time, also a PSA: better make sure your wire gauge is sufficient for the increase in current, otherwise your risking a fire hazard.
