The reason for /rotate is that /tp now dismounts its target. If you wanted to rotate an entity riding another one, you used to /tp, now you need to /rotate.

Furnaces can now completely burn away items Honestly it'd be funny if furnaces just had a chance to overcook stuff, like making a burnt steak that restores less hunger than a normal steak

But later on, you could make an item filter with hoppers and so to work around the overcooked steak. It would be terrible tho, but if it has a low chance (like poisonous potato lol) it would be just a little nuisance here and there

Finally they desided to fix that bug. Ever since these furnaces were added, they were constantly bugging out and deleting my items! One day I left a stack of planks there and when I came back to my base after an hour, they were gone! I knew I wasn't the only person to have this problem

They added No Mans Sky's refinery issue, how original. For anyone who doesn't know, No Mans Sky had (or still has, not sure) had an issue for a long time, where items you put into medium or large refineries just disappeared if you left them alone for a while.

I wonder if this works with campfires as well since they also have cook time as part of their nbt data The glitch is also a neat way to get active furnaces in survival for decoration, maybe they should add it as a feature (e.g. furnace w/ redstone input will turn on cosmetically)

/rotate is actually really helpful if you want to change rotation with /tp when the entity is in say a minecart, as using /tp @s ~ ~ ~ facing etc. will make the entity exit the minecart.

The rotate onto the entity's eyes probably seems broken because it's facing based off your feet (default player position) to the eyes. It's a little un-intuitive but would explain

given the logs on the server i had this happen to me on, i'm guessing it's a bug caused by the backend changes to the way recipes work in datapacks now. whatever script they used to update everything automatically likely was broken for furnaces. why they're doing such major changes in a point release......... i have no idea

They should make it instead the Creaking have damage resistance on par with Resistance 5 so that way it still doesn't take damage but it at least looks like it does, cause otherwise it feels like lag if you hit something and it doesn't flash red at all... Kinda like the vibe you get when a certain skulk creature dropped absolutely no exp... Mobs should still feel like mobs and not command block generated armour stand + falling block custom mobs... And make make it not regen and take exactly 1 hit point of damage if you hit it while it's on fire so if the player really wants to kill it they can kill it for a single block of wood or something small, Minecraft should feel like a world you can do whatever you want in, even if you're not supposed to do that... Let's petition for the creaking to be killable by unintended means than that boring breaking the heart method... Taking the fun from all the warlords that feel the need to personally execute every mob in the game.

Maybe they typo'd the code in the furnace and not in the chests, but like...why are you typing the same code twice lol [edit] Also item components were two major versions ago! @@TehNoobiness item components are something they are working on actively, and unlike chests which are stationary and don't change, furnaces update. So a problem with the item components MAY appear in furnaces but not in chests. In a game with as many working parts as Minecraft any changes AS deep as items will create really weird problems in corner cases.
