In discord, after asking personally, (and believe me everyone has smacked on them on sounds way too many times)... They said the sounds are way harder to work on than we think. Supposedly to go out to a track and record them would cost over $100k. They'd need their own track, like 8 bikes, record from all angles, loose and replace mics in the process, etc. And syncing the sounds properly in game is a whole different struggle. The team has been through a lot, with the thq downfall back in the day and still suffered layoffs during All Out. Now they're pretty solid and intentional, but small group of ppl right now. Intention is to continue with content and updates for Legends as long as they can and next title would be based on the finished product but right now they're barely profitting. Thats just just so people can get an idea of whats going on and know that they are listening and doing their best. They're chatting with us gamers every day on discord. If you want more info and to bring up suggestions or have questions, discord is the place to be. Next big physics update will be in 3.09 (next update]

Sounds like an excuse. We have a community ran game with MX Bikes and they sound amazing. The core game is made by one person.

We increased the tire slip for the rear tire because it was a bit difficult to do Donuts with the 50cc, and even when you did do donuts, the engine RPMs weren't revving up because the bike doesn't have enough power to break traction lolol

For the sounds, we did pitch the 50cc a bit but most of the fixes were to the behavior (bogging when it wasn't supposed to, stuff like that). The 110F was already pretty decent so we didn't do much work for that bike, just a little tweak on acceleration. The 500cc is still pretty bad yeah...we don't have good source audio for a 500cc, and we can't use free/unlicensed sounds like certain other mx games. I think we'd be better off using the 250 2-stroke sounds and pitch them to sound more like a 500cc. I was just playing with the 500cc on MX Bikes the other day, with one of the Sound Mod, and it sounds awesome! I wish we could use the same engine audio...but we can't, copyright issues, plus it's engine audio for a State Machine Sound System so it wouldn't even work for us because our Engine Sound System isn't using a State Machine, it's all RPM-based...don't get me started on why it's like that, we want to go back to a State Machine System.

@@troyjannn We would need to work something out yeah, otherwise we could get in a lot of trouble for using unlicensed stuff, so it isn't worth the risk. Once we are back to a State Machine System for Engine Audio, we'll be able to look into it yeah. I think games like MX Bikes/MX Simulator or any other PC-Only MX Games get away with it because the user base isn't large enough for anyone on the outside to really care about this, and as much as it sucks for us to have to go through all the legal channels to get anything that's branded in the game (SX Series, Pro Nats, Gear Brands etc...), while PC-Only games have unlicensed stuff all over the place, we stay out of it because we care about the MX Community and having games like MX Bikes/MX Simulator out there is good for the MX Gaming community. Take the GasGas/KTM Compound DLC we did for example, we wanted to add a bunch of FreeRide outside the track area, like in the Hills and stuff, but KTM said NO because they already deal with lots of complaints from the houses surrounding the area, so they didn't people to be able to ride in the Hills, close to the Houses, in the game 🙄🤬😂 We have to deal with stuff like that sometimes lolol

Need updated boot scans and better goggle lenses / customisation and Oakley airbrakes 🙏🏻 full exhaust systems, clutch covers, triple clamps, more tyre brands, swingarm graphics. And I would also like the dirt particles / exhaust fumes and terrain deformation more on par with reflex, animations could also use some tlc but it’s getting so good.
