With Mydei, utilizing his enhanced skill activation every turn will GUARANTEE more break potential, even if he isn't a viable option for fugue team synergy, this is a strategy game. I'd pair fugue with Mydei too, heck.

I'm still very hesitant to get him simply because of his auto-attack thing. It can screw you over badly in some cases, where you want to attack specific enemies and the auto attack can just go anywhere the RNG wants right now. Giving his AI the addition to prioritize elite enemies and bosses also doesn't really help, as it can sometimes also be much better to attack the smaller enemies as well. If that gets somehlw fixed or there is a good solution for this, i might consider him, but right now, still a bit skeptical. Overall, he looks much better now though, that's for sure

He does AoE dmg I think to all the enemies, but I feel the same as you if that isn't the case. For example in the current MoC, it's better to target the trotters so if we used him in the second half and he targets the boss and there's 2 bugs on the sides, it would be worse than choosing who to target... I love his character in the story and his design giving me Gilgamesh vibes, but I'm definitely doubting if I'm gonna pull for him bc of his auto atks...

@ Yep, exactly. The current MoC is the main thing why i'm even skeptical at the moment because it is exactly the issue that could occur. And nope, it's AoE damage he dishes out, but just against 3 targets as usual for most Destruction units. E2 currently lets him deal damage to all enemies as if they are the primary target, so maybe you saw that? Overall though, seeing his kit reworked like this gives me hope that hp scaling dps characters are gonna come back and become really good, as long as they don't attack automatically. I love these types of units for some reason and i hope that Castorice is gonna be that as well, maybe with a synergy between her and Mydei

@ Ah, then I must have seen gameplay from an E2 Mydei. If that's the case, then the auto atk might be a huge problem for Mydei, let's hope they fix it or at least give us a chance to "mark" the enemy we want to target first in battle, so his auto isn't as bad as it can be in certain situations... I also love HP scaling characters, it's such an unique mechanic that has so much potential if they make other characters to supports them. This may be old news but Castorice was leaked (or at least rumored) at first to be pretty synergistic with Mydei (so maybe she works with the HP mechanic too but in a way it benefits Mydei too) so I believe that she will be synergistic with Mydei, at least that is what I hope for too.

To everyone saying blade got powercrept, on paper that is true THOUGH: Blade is wind and has a follow up attached as one of his main mechanics. So he has always had FUA teams up there but he never had a taunt or support. Mydei is imaginary which is counterproductive (slowdown) as he is just a raw dmg dealer that is easy to build because he has a fuck ton of HP and gives himself 48% crit rate. So yes/no they definitely shine in different areas and both will still have no direct buffer or support.

Sunday is pretty great, RMC can replace Tribbie and any healer would do. If you're using RMC and Sunday, that's a free 30+48 crit rate. So that's 83% crit rate without relic set bonus or substats. Additionally, you get so much crit damage that it'd be best to run an hp chest.

tbh i think the only thing they need to do is remove auto target for the kingslayer skill. keep it for the godslayer skill since it only happens once every 2 turns anyway. it also counts as an extra turn so you'll still have the kingslayer skill to control. that way, the berserk theme will be there and he'll also feel much better to play

Take note that Mydei has lost his 500% aggro buff during Vendetta state. They traded this for a guaranteed 2 turn Taunt. This made him less consistent in multi-wave content such as Pure Fiction. Yunli LC is our savior once again 🙏

Nah i don't care about pulling for characters anymore especially dps. Or building their premium team. The powercrept is absurd. I always pull for my dps signature LC. But looking at how the game is going idc anymore. My dps from the start of the game till now are seele. Jingliu. Acheron. Firefly. Rappa. Feixiao. They all have their signature and have a fully built team. But the powercrept and HP inflation in this game is abysmal. I just wanna stick for the story but even the story also has no improvement in terms of story presentation and the lack of EN VA makes it even worse.

Good news about the VA part: hoyo have stepped in and helped the VA going on strike to leave the former studio (Formosa) for a new one (SIDE), and now every studio they're going to work with going ahead will have to be clear on their AI training policies (current strikes happened because some studios required VA to consent to their voices being fed to train AI and Formosa was one of those that also work with hoyo)

Although they're not targeted by the strike, HSR is a non-union project so they're affected regardless. Only ZZZ is unaffected because the studio itself (Sound Cadence) adheres to the union. Lycaon is the only notable one unvoiced because the VA is currently on his Tour from his orchestra.

Wait for castorice, she’s gonna be remembrance and a dps as far as we know Edit: plus, Sunday is a very good all round support, he can pretty much support every dps in the game and he’ll do good for them
