It’s not until you see new features like this that it makes the old set-up look utterly archaic.

This is great new! Like you, I always start with a Styles template, so I can see my colors and other attributes in action on text, lists, headings, buttons, etc. The new style management system will speed up my workflow. Thanks for this quick video to bring it to our attention.

Exactly what I was thinking. As soon as they add in some global styles for UI Elements including containers, buttons, forms, the need to produce a custom style guide drops.

Love your content, mate ;) Thanks for showing so much new stuff. Can I just ask at minute 1:24 you seem to have a left-hand sidepanel to switch between tabs. Is that a specific program/extension? This might help me make my workflow so much more efficient, too.

Thanks! That’s the Arc browser. It’s available for Macs and in beta for Windows. It uses Chrome and makes managing tabs far more productive.

What's the biggest difference between using the global fonts under the design system, and using the typography under the theme style? Is one better than the other? They seem redundant to me.

Good question because the theme style typography option makes it confusing and is an old way of styling fonts in WordPress. It’s also a bad practice to use because if styles based on H tags. This is bad for SEO. The best practice for setting your font styles in Elementor is to use the Global Fonts. I recommend not even touching the theme style typography options. Stick with the Global fonts..
