FANTASTIC BABY came out in 2012 and now is 2023. It's practically a 10 year gap. But yeah, this MV still fit today's kpop concept. That shows that BIGBANG is way ahead of their time and it made them the blue print of kpop. Even new kpop fan like you who knows how to listen, see and hear their influence. Hence, when VIPs say, BIGBANG is the KING OF KPOP, it's not a mere fan opinion but bigger, heavier and way higher level.

This music video has a lot of symbolism starting with the owl. In Korea the owl means death and here it sits alone but also flys away which represents that BB itself will make death fly further from their path. The signs no music was when haters wanted to disband Big Bang and BB were actually considering it but chose to try again and release music. There’s two types of people fighting, the haters who tried to put walls up and the masses of fans, nationally and internationally who weren’t having it. In the first take GD is seen as a mess with long hair messed makeup and it was due to the stress and hurt from scandals. When fans triumph GD sits on a high throne with a staff and looking better; signifies defiance, strength and popularity. His white costume looks like a ghost but it’s a renewal. His lyrics match it. Taeyang who was frozen by haters and comments but thaws signifies; reassurance, vitality, and when he’s with fans surrounding him it’s inner peace. His armor means what was broken can be repaired, strengthened and protected. T.O.P. at the time was doing movies so he is representing timeless masterpiece, he wears a revolutionary uniform, his picture shows him navigating and dominating rough waters. His suit and “visual shock” literally made guys stop in their tracks as he was walking in airports. There was a meme years ago about this, I think it was a paparazzi male who was awe stricken. Daesung being chained represents what the public thought of him, they wanted him jailed and thrown away. When he falls, he’s supported by fans who never would let him get hurt and he wears velvet the aristocrats dressing fabric. Seungri has always been known as a player but instead of shying away he’s always been true to himself. He’s one of the only kpop idols whom have never shy’d away from scandals and has taken them head on and even punished for them lawfully. Their different thrones literally mean they all have their own struggles, their own reigns, that they are different in many senses but that in the end they are one team regardless. It was also shown in their last song Still life, there was a chair for Seungri even tho he wasn’t there. It’s also why they say that to each other there is 5 members always.

Thing about bigbang is they are unapologetically themselves. Honestly production of every bigbang song almost mostly made by themselves. When I say they made it themselves I mean it. Not their name maybe at 4, or 5th place in composing but they create it I say 80% of all their songs. Most songs either g dragon or another member is 1s composer or second, 100% written by g dragon
