In this video I discuss the new layout I intend to use for my new van build. I have seen a lot of camper van videos with different layouts and learned a lot from my last van build. Sounds like a good layout. Man, that looks just like Buster before I started on the build. Brings back some memories. I put one of those diesel heaters in my school bus build and it works great. Even at temperatures in the teens, it keeps the bus nice and warm. It would make a sauna out of that van if you wanted. I got a 5kw one. Thanks Luke! I actually saw your install and review. One of the reasons I'm thinking about adding one. Do you think 5kw is too much? I've seen the 2kw ones, but the price is pretty close to the same.

Cute van. I am amazed at how similar your floor plan is to how I plan to build mine out later this year or next. I would also skip the Fantastic fan. You might need to consider the weight distribution of everything. Also, think about having to bend down to slide the frig out and get food while blocking the aisle. I plan to install mine on top of a low cabinet.

Check out the latest post on the Kirsten Dirksen channel for some ideas . I have a 91 Ford extended with a higher top and a diesel engine . Haven't done anything to it yet .

You can definitely hold off on that fantastic fan until your sure due to all them opening windows. Those diesel heaters look awesome. Not so much condensation & you can turn them down enuff to leave on for long period of time. Looks good real nice ol Ford .

Check out a KZbinr called " Full Time RV Living" . He lives in a big old class A. He just did an install video on that diesel heater! Its cool and he is loving it. Looking forward to your build videos! I hope to build one soon too. 👍

Looks good. Depending how tall you are you may want to cut a couple inches off the length of the bed. Im 5'8". I cut my 30" by 75" mattress down to 72".

I’m 5’8” or so. I may do that to save a little room, but then again that’s just more storage under my bed if I leave it.

Thanks. My cabinets will be built out of plywood but I may put some kind of finished bead board on the exterior surface. Either that or paint them.

@@RubberTrampRenegade I us the rubbermaid cabinet like you had in the video and in the old van. I need to be able to take them out sometimes mine in not a full time camper but I know what you do will be nice
