On Sunday I sat down and calculated the Laajiitadi Avasthas of a chart with all planets at their deepest degree of exaltation by hand. I was so surprised to see that even that hypothetical chart had bad Laajiitadi Avasthas. According to my calculations, even the "perfect" being would have difficult Avasthas like the Sun and Saturn starving each other and Saturn starving Mars to a high degree (40 to 55 virupas). This was such a revelation to me. No matter how evolved a human being is, they will still have bad Laajiitadi Avasthas and thus a difficult experience in some situations. This confirmed what I have been learning from you on your website that life on earth is simply hard. It also showed me what you said in this video: That there is no perfect chart. I didn't understand why I got this weird urge to calculate this by hand this weekend. It came out of the blue. Now I think it was my inner guidance preparing me for this video!

This is just what I know I need and no doubt was guided to listen. I was on the west side highway heading to a trade show at the Javits on the morning of Sept 11th. I was bitching to my husband about my son being late to school once again. The radio was off as we were heading closer. One by one the fire tucks started coming from behind us. We were eventually diverted out of the city. In the days that followed I told myself I would never be blindsided about the news. I became a news junkie and it took me years to recognize it. To this day I struggle with being ok to not check what calamity is about to occur. I am aware of my inner guidance and rely on it heavily, especially in these times when trying to ascertain " truth" but I still struggle with trusting the process. Now when I am about to check a news source my chest will tighten up just a smidgen but I am aware of this and with gratitude acknowledge the little slap upside my head.

I always wondered about this: I feel sick often but, I am at ease. I go through the pain and suffering of disease on a daily basis (because of my health..I have a few rare genetic but non inherited disorders) but I rarely suffer if that makes sense. Does it mean that I don’t have disease? Does it mean that I don’t identify with disease? Not sure. I think disease is a very vast topic that is hard to define. Since there aren’t treatments or/and cures for what I have, I welcome any treatments and remedies :)

Killing when necessary is ok but killling as a habit are bad because Krishna killed when necessary? Hmmm. I'm gonna pass on that one. Whenever we kill, it's because we value "I" or "mine" over "other". But the "I" and "mine" stem from the ego delusion. The self is an illusion to begin with so to kill to serve the self is not rooted in truth regardless of whether Krishna, Rama or anybody else does it. Intention creates karma. So brushing your teeth which leads to death of microbes in your mouth is different from setting up a fly trap. The former creates no bad karma while the latter creates bad karma.
