According to the official lore, Grandpa developed a soft spot for Maria while she was in the Family's clutches, apparently because of some past connection that is never explained. Maria realized that Grandpa was the only reason the Family kept her alive, and she soon learned how to use Grandpa's fondness of her to her advantage, hence where her "Sweet Talk" ability comes from.

Some people don't like her ability because it's not a saving your ass ability like Leland, Ana or Virginia, but its really good for intel and gives your entire group two chances to do whatever you need to for two screams. It has been very helpful.

its an interesting ability for sure but its lackluster ive had games already where the family did not feed grandpa rendering the ability completely useless also even if its still a bit weak its missing some sauce

@@alexmaganda5827Well you’re still helping your team then because getting grandpa higher levels hurts your team especially the more they die. When you’re the last one left it sucks when grandpa starts screaming.. so by then not feeding him it bought you a few levels when you’re the last one.

I liked Virginia, but Maria is my new favorite for certain. She’s a support with very good sustainability and utility that can help out the whole team. She makes family paranoid of Grandpa and try too hard to protect him or ignore him, which punishes them either way. She also keeps Grandpa from halting other victims progress, and has Ana’s stats which are very solid. It seems like she’s geared towards having survivability and proficiency builds but she can take some hits for teammates too. I’m excited to finish leveling her up, but people who call her weak are probably just rush meta players lol

This ability is great because it's so polarizing. It opens up strategies to sit around Grandpa to bait her out of hiding to get hit. It's a great update overall.

Top left level 3 looks like the best. Middle is limited use. Right level 3 is only one time use and then it's useless. Left Level 3 seems like the best if the sweettalk roar conceals other survivors during it'll mean more free movement without worry.

It’s only “useless” if Maria is the *only* person gunning for grandpa. The point of her ability is for everyone else to see the family too. I think It’s op for fusebox and valve plays when family is guarding gates and doors. You can tell how much time you’ll have to complete an objective.

I love the new characters but personally I think Maria’s skill tree is a bit weak and not because she doesn’t have meta perks, it’s more of she doesnt have a lot of perks that are useful to counteract the family besides her star sign and seeing red

I feel like her ability should also be, when she sweet-talks grandpa. During that roar, all killers are forbid (by grandpa) to hit any victims, and it last till when the family turns grandpa back to their side.

If they don’t feed then that means no Grandpa perks and no sonars. So its not like its actually a bad thing, besides that it ensures that if they ever do feed him its going to help your team out instead. If they buff her that’ll be fun though!

Alright I finally reached Level 3 of her Sweet Talk ability and tried the Reduce Grandpa Level, but unfortunately it didn´t work at all, not even like it says in the description which is still weird imao once after you have used it for the first time. And the weak scream of Grandpa 👴 like you said in the video after he got sweet talked by Maria is, because he is in love ❤ of her. 😁 So it´s a love ❤ scream, pretty much. And for the first time you died in one of your video. 😯 Oh and about the Wireframe perk for Sissy, which you´ve mentioned, it´s currenlty bugged.

I think Maria is the worse victim in the game. Her ability is completely predicated on if the family feed grandpa blood and honestly her ability is just a watered down grandpa sonar perk. This patch they took more away from victim except Sonny. Which by taking so much away from the victims and give him so much they made him from the 2nd worse victim into the best. And HANDS is crazy OP. How does he get 5 abilities and Maria gets one horrible one. Danny is useless now because of hands. It frustrates me to grind to the game to make perks strong just for the developers to take the perks away or make them so week it feels like a waste of time building them up.

First, I don’t play with Danny. Second, rarely have I seen recently anyone escape with him. Usually he is the first taken out. And even if people escape with Danny that just means you weren’t checking positions & aren’t killing anyone But HANDS has 4-5 great abilities. Maria has one bad ability that has a better version as a perk. Maria is a waste of money if they don’t fix her up some.

Danny and Hands counter each other actually. If Hands uses ripstall somewhere else, then Danny can tamper for free and Hands can do nothing about it. If Danny uses tamper too early however, Hands can just shut it down. Its basically a mindgame where you gotta make the other person use their ability first, then use yours. As Danny I’ve actually tampered both fuse and valve at the same time before and the Hands was so mad that he DC’d lmao

Well I really love ❤ to play as Maria Flores and also whenever I play as her I got protective instinct I mean after all what she´s been through, which you can obviously see on her. And to answer your question when you sweet talk to Grandpa 👴 then yes all other victim can see the family member, if he starts to scream even if you get killed. Also yes she really got very strong perks especially Pep talk which the devs introduced which is healing her afterwards she sweet talk thim, and the endurance one is also very good. And she even got What doesn´t kill you and a perk which Danny got which if you have to play against Leatherface hightlights him. The only thing what I still need to find out is which will be her best level 3 ability, cause I don´t know if you choose Reduce Grandpa Level if you can do lower his level all the time or only as the decription says: "The first time"?, Oh and because Maria is Grandpas 👴 "darling" victim he won´t scream when she´s getting close to him, so yes I don´t know why she got this perk like Virginia (Back for Blood), but it means that you can sweet talk to thim and stab him at the same time if you want. 😁 But it´s really not necessary. Oh and I didn´t know that when you press in Playstation it´s the R1 button for using her ability that with it you can locate the old man so thank you.

Here is my honest opinion about Maria. She is easily the worst victim with a power that requires a lot of risk for such mediocre rewards. If you want to track family then play sonny or use a perk to locate them. If Marias level 3 skill was to reduce grandpa level by 1 everytime u whisper then it would be a great anti grandpa ability. But shes not anti grandpa bc the families perks are still active and tbh seeing the family isnt always useful to have since u know if they arent around u it doesn't matter where they r on the map. Plus since the killers can stop to avoid being spotted it makes it weaker.
