I almost stopped using FMJ and HV entirely except on a few select guns because of the recoil nerfs. With medium ammo and levering buffs Centennial went from my least used to most used rifle, feels very satisfying at all ranges with any ammo type but especially just normal ammo so I don't have to bring an ammo box and can pair it with literally any sidearm.

I really want to start playing winnie again. Can someone give me a quick heads up why I should sacrifice velocity and recoil for FMJ? Isn't its pen okay even with default ammo?And they made damage falloff smaller and capped lowest possible damage too. Why should I pick FMJ? thx

FMJ is just if u are playing close to medium range. It doesnt really have a benefit of taking it for long range because all weapons have infinite headshot range while in the past FMJ used to increase effective range which means increasing the headshot range. For High Velocity Ammo; it still gives that +2 extra recoil, faster speed, lower damage and low pen damage. I suggest taking the new Infantry with it since it has the least amount of recoil
