Is Red Heart as hard as Purple Heart or is it softer? Also, where do you buy your wood from?

OK, first question Purple Heart is significantly harder than red heart, as you can see in the video I do actually use a knife to cut into it it’s still not a good carving wood it’s really not easy to take away Large amounts of material with a knife most of the work was done on a bandsaw ,sander and drama, Now for the second question when I got into this I just googled woodshop in the town that I lived in and I found one that’s about an hour hour and a little bit away it’s called woodcraft I believe it is a chain so there may be one near you, good luck
