PLEASE NOTE: This video was created using a pre-release version of Clarity Vx DeReverb (and PRO), *some of the Neural Networks shown are yet to be released.* Sorry for any confusion this might have caused. I don’t know when these extra neural networks will be released but Waves provided a free update for Clarity Vx which included additional Neural Networks..... so I think they’ll do the same thing for Clarity Vx DeReverb. Let's hope so at least!
@Drfresh1402 Жыл бұрын
Why would they let you demo what’s not being released?
@RaytownProductions Жыл бұрын
@@Drfresh1402 My best guess is that these are algorithms that will eventually be released and they just wanted feedback to make sure they were as good as they can be. Like I mentioned before, Waves has released updates to the other Clarity Vx plugin with additional neural networks, so I would assume they will do the same for the DeReverb plugin... let's hope at least 🤣

i would have expected the artifacts to be as bad as the waves clarity vx pro for noise when the knob cranked to high, but surprisingly that wasn't the case 😁
@RaytownProductions Жыл бұрын
Agreed! Waves did a really nice job with this one. Especially for the price.
@maailmanalku Жыл бұрын
It's surprisingly transparent. In a mixed song I couldn't hear any artefacts, but I did hear the clarity it brings. It's an amazing tool for home producers - it really helps you improve the quality of sub-optimal recordings.

Listening on a set of studio monitor headphones, even when you had that thing crank to 100% I could still hear a lot of rumors Rex I made it barely seem to do anything if you ask me, I have the original clarity VX4 noise removal and it doesn't pretty good job and getting rid of light noise, maybe you just had too much reverb for this app but from what I heard in this demo, it doesn't seem to work very well
@jasonbodden881611 ай бұрын
It did a pretty good job, actually. I heard a major difference.

Any luck using this on vocals with yelling or screaming? I imagine it’s the same
@RaytownProductions Жыл бұрын
I haven't tried.... I would be very interested to find out! It might respond very differently because Waves trained this on singing or talking voices... Not screaming. If you have any screaming audio with lots of room noise they you would want to send my way, I'll try it out.

If I want to use both Clarity (De-noise) and DeReverb, which order should I use them in my plugin chain. I have a condensor mic in a semi-treated bedroom room with little to no echo with PC across room

To give credit where it's due: the Pro version of this is also included in Mercury. Their Clarity Vx Pro is not part of the Mercury bundle[*]. *This is as of V14. I would not be surprised if this could be added in a future version.

Interesting! I would have assumed it would be included in Mercury. Hopefully that will change!

@@RaytownProductions Clarity Vx Pro was designed more for film/video post-production work. In fact, one aspect of it that I thought would be brilliant for that field was you can extract a room tone from the on-set dialogue tracks (Pro is the only one where you can keep the noise rather than take it out). The one I would like to see added is the Spherix Immersive 😁. Maybe when Atmos mixing is more of a thing =]

Please see the disclaimer in the pinned comment above.. I didn't know at the time but waves sent me additional algorithms to test which are not out yet. I hope they will release them soon - they have in the past for their clarity vx plugin.

Overtake Izotope is not really difficult. RX lost touch years ago.

Thanks a lot. This is impressive indeed. But. What is the point of letting an AI compensate for another algorithmic reverb? That is tricking a T1000 vs. a T800. And we are afraid of another sequel. Would be way more relevant to let this impressive thing compete against a church or something. ... but what I've heard so far, it's quite appropriate at 30 bucks for my purposes! ;-)
@RaytownProductions Жыл бұрын
It was only for demonstration proposes as I don't have any singing vocals that weren't recorded in a pro studio to test. My apologies for not making that more clear!
@ernstgeesmann Жыл бұрын
@@RaytownProductions Never mind! 🙂 And thanks a lot for the reply! Got my $30 copy today, put it on some recordings. Does the job pretty well - good enough for a non-professional. A 'usual' room, dialogue recorded from 2m distance, became pretty dry, which I consider exactly that improvement that I wanted! From a really horrible room reverb was reduced - I'd even say: removed, while an echo/delay survived. 🤣Don't know, how to describe it. But expectedly there are limits. I learned, that I need to spend more than 30 to improve that room. 😫 ... and... don't cascade! 😂😂

There are actually very few plugins in a reasonable price range that do de-reverb well. This plugin sounds great compared to Izotope which starts to sound weird very quickly if it's working any way hard. This plugin is a welcome and much-needed addition to de-reverb plugins as far as I'm concerned.

Now … and this is just “off the dome” … like … just now … I bet a “soaking wet” vocal, squashed to heckens, then processed through the DeReverb would add something special to my otherwise thin vocals 🤔 Thanks again for bringing tools like this to our attention 🫡
