Again thank you for helping and teaching us and more importantly myself.

I am also a big fan of Howard's Feed N Wax. I use a paint brush, lather it on, and let it sit for 24 hours. Then I use a shoe-shining brush and paper towel to rub in/clean off. I've noticed after a year or so, the carvings tend to need it again.

I’ve been using this for ages. Leaves a real nice finish and lasts a while.

Thank you for this Van! I am one of the people you mentioned that often leaves their carvings unfinished. This video gets me motivated to finish them all using this process. Thanks so much!

Wax is great! Try a natural horse hair shoe brush. You'll LOVE it !

Thanks. I have found that using a toothbrush to apply the feed n wax works well. You can then use the same toothbrush to get it out of the cracks after it soaks in.

I've been using that same product and technique over acrylic paint for years with great results. I'll be looking forward to carving the Indian if you are teaching that, yours looks great!

Hi Van, do you do this process on a painted carving or just an unpainted carving?
@vankellywoodcarvings5 ай бұрын
I have done both, but I usually use this on unpainted ones as I really like the natural look it had.
