Regarding WA. I am a diehard WA customer. Over 50, lifelong skincare and health minded person. WA for me has been a liberating experience. I love the light touch color to the eye and cheek as their lipsuede palette is my single number one product for a go anywhere and look polished look. Until WA started producing eye pods, I pretty much just used their contour for eye definition and their eyeliner and mascara. The lipsuede palette lights up my entire face so really not many other cosmetics are needed... in my experience. The eyepods are also nourishing for my aging and delicate skin so, I value that too. Younger me though might have found it too nourishing. The new concealer though is a great shadow primer.

Here for your reviews Rebecca always, regardless of the products ❤. Westman Atelier is a bit of an ‘Emperor’s New Clothes’ brand for me, I have one of their bluish sticks that everyone raved about and whilst it’s nice I don’t find it to be anything special either, especially for the price point! Jones Road doesn’t speak to me either, I just know I would end up a patchy sticky mess, obviously I’m a rank amateur with little to zero skill but I like unfussy products that just work 😆

WA eye pods are quite lovely to look at. My experience was horrible. I purchased the pods with the green shade. I was so excited to have it arrive. I wish I had never ordered it. Where was the pigment? It was difficult to build up. It’s very hot and very humid here. These eye pods creased and smeared no matter what I did. Plus they were so patchy on my eyes. I do not have oily lids. For the price of the product I expected more. Let me add. I concur with what you had to say about the super strong magnets. Jones Road Miracle Balm is a HUGE NO! First the smell. It actually makes me gag then it gives me a migraine. I never left it open long enough to allow the scent to dissipate. Then, it’s a sticky, gooey mess. When I had long hair, my hair stuck to it, as well as any dust blowing around outside. It, for me was a nasty mess. I will no longer pay WA prices. I actually believe, most of the time I’m paying for fancy packaging. There are some Jones Road products I really like. Just not the Miracle Balm or the WTF foundation. Than you for allowing me to rant about these products. I have a great sense of relief! This was quite therapeutic! I must admit I enjoyed it.😂😊❤

Emperors new cloths, lol - that kind of gets to it quite perfectly- I do want to love WA - the packaging gets me too much - I do love the face pink powder (though I bet there are others that are cheaper and maybe better, but that packaging 😍) - I actually LOVE the new pink peony super loaded -I think that color happens to look excellent on me - but the other super loaded I have… the blush stick… the foundations … the lip gloss.. the highlighter… meh meh meh … I mean, they are super nice, but soooooo expensive. Oh why - and the brushes?! What is reason for the expense of these? But I do kind of like the new lipsticks - they are “different” like everything else … and colors are basic, but I kind of love it a little - more misses than hits though

Doing this review has made me feel so validated. I have called Gucci Westman the Emperor’s new clothes for so long. See? Great minds think alike. And I know that there’s a vision for Jones Road… I just haven’t quite exactly seen it yet. Sometimes I get close but not yet

Your approach to review is refreshing, fair and needed/appreciated. e.g. "This is what I do not like but this is what you might like". Therefore we know if, in the future, you give a product a hard "no", we know to not even bother. Thanks for the balanced reviews. Oh.. and I also like that you are supported by consumers/customers and not beauty brands. A HUGE thank you for that one. When it comes to reviews, nothing annoys me more than the 'influencer' pretending they are giving an unbiased review. kickbacks = deception. :)

Hi Rebecca and everyone commenting here. I love this honest and balanced approach to reviews! I couldn’t wait to see what you had to say because I have both miracle balm ( regular size of Sunkissed) and previous stacks of WA eye pods. I’m such a sucker for the marketing of both and despite less than stellar reviews, I had to have em. I may be the rare case of neither loving nor hating these products. The eye pods were appealing because I like subtle looks but they’re fussy to apply and yeah lots of creasing. They mostly sit unused and unloved in their little linen pouches at the back of my makeup drawer. The miracle balm l used for a little warmth and glow during the winter. Don’t love the stickiness but it looks good paired it with the Dusty Rose powder bronzer. Again, I’m the rare person who actually likes the smell. The regular size - who are they kidding? I scooped about a teaspoon of this into a tiny plastic jar and even that will last me a long time. On the plus side, it’s not expensive. So… neither hate/love but meh…

I love your approach to this video! (And your first intro line made me literally laugh out loud)These products are not for me at all either. That said the reasons we don’t like them might be exactly the reasons someone else loves them! I love an open minded review with pros and cons. It’s so helpful!! That said…as a person with oily/combo skin the Jones Road balms are my nightmare fuel. If I wanted to spend $88 on a WA eye look, I’d take $88 and throw it out the window and go about my day with no eyeshadow. Same look, but takes much less time and no brush laundry!! 😂

Love your honesty! While I am a huge Jones Road fan and own most of the products in the line I was not tempted at all by these palettes (even to use for travel). The scant amount of product makes them rather pointless/they're not easily refillable etc. Bobbi has stated in the past that the mini Miracle Balms are not cost effective to produce, however, I feel the amount of product in the minis is fair for the $ and provides a chance to "play" with the balms and understand application techniques, etc. Customizable mini Miracle Balm sets would have been a better option than the palettes (less consumer waste, too!) PS - There is a fair learning curve with the Miracle Balms, but once you "get it" they are life changing.

Hi lovely Rebecca !! Lovely video and demo . I’m not a fan of the WA eye pods . I had a trio a few years back . I loved the colours but not pigmented and a very soft hard to reach formula. JR balm looks pretty, but it wasn’t for me . personally it was quite thick in consistency and sticky . Loved your review as always ❤🤗

Hi Rebecca, always such a joy to watch you 🥰 I've ordered the WA eye pods as I'm a sucker for those shades and I like WA. As for the JR Miracle Balms, I've so many of them and I don't know why I'm always attracted to them to buy them but at the end of the day I don't use them as I HATE their scent. I don't mind the stickiness that much, although I don't like it, I love the shades but I HATE the scent. Lots of hugs all the way from Paris🥰

Hi Rebecca! Thanks for this video! I agree with you on the WA pods - not a fan of the pigmentation nor getting your brush in the pot! I do love the JR miracle balms though and bought one of these travel sizes! I don’t use the ‘all over’ shade all over but either do my normal make up and add this at the end, as blush and highlighter toppers essentially, to keep it my skin looking fresh and youthful (particularly good if using a lot of powder). I also use them on their own for minimal days as I think it makes my skin look like I’ve just had a facial! As you suggested, I do have fairly dry skin.

First, I don’t get the Jones Road thing at all, balmy and sticky… and I don’t see how getting less is a plus except that you get a few together 🤷🏼‍♀️ I’m a natural look wearer so Bobby Brown use to appeal to me but just doesn’t interest me even a little bit. Now WA does interest me but I have another of the trio eyeshadows, couldn’t wait to get them but I never reach for them. Like ever. I saw these were coming out and thought pretty colors but again so many other options available… and for the price, really? The product might be a good quality but aren’t there other eyeshadows that perform as good if not better… this is same why I didn’t purchase Chantecaille trio even though I was very tempted there. Just me. I’m with you Rebecca on these BUT I totally agree that you did the review. And I enjoy your videos so much, and despite have no interest in these at all, I still enjoyed watching. I tried to keep open mind but mind not changed.

I love the JR balm but I always want to powder after it as well! But it caused my WA powder to hard pan so I have to force myself to not use powder after the miracle balm. I like the bronze when I’m just home, it evens out my skin tone and covers redness and moistures nice in the cold weather. I also like the balm after I wore a face mask for work. I didn’t buy the pallet cuz I don’t have need for other colors, I only like bronze and clear.

Been there, done that, with the miracle balms. I tend to LOVE Jones Road powders (her loose setting powder is a favorite as are blushes, bronzer, and eyeshadows). I just can’t do the sticky balms on the face. The Westman Atelier trio is beautiful, but $88 for three matte brown shadows is excessive. I also don’t find the three pot format very user friendly. It’s a pass for me, although I did love it on you. Maybe at the Sephora sale, if it comes to Sephora.

Love miracle balm. I do have dry dehydrated skin. I like the clear shade, I rub some between my palms and press over the entire face. I like the highlighting shades with shimmer. Magic hour and golden hour. Dab a little on the high points and even my lids if I'm not doing eyeshadow. It will gently crease but my eyes are hooded and behind glasses. However, I think these palettes are a miss for the regular customer. There is too little product, a week of use will have you hit pan. For $32 it is a great tester. If you are new to the product or wary of specific shades but still curious. I have the one with sunkissed, miami beach and golden hour. Really impressed with sunkissed on my light olive complexion. Miami beach is pretty but I expect more nuance from Bobbi's colors. Golden hour is fantastic. It's shimmer particles are smaller than Magic Hour. It's that perfect neutral gold that's neither yellow or brassy.

Jones.Road has a massive advertising campaign on KZbin for Miracle Balm aimed at women over 50. I do think that for older women with dry thin skin, this can be an appealing product. However, it has a whole lot of essential oil in it and that is very irritating to my sensitive skin. I do kind of like the Westman Atelier Eye Pods when I swirl around their Baby Blender brush in it and then apply it fairly heavily, but really only as a one and done. I wish that they would sell them all as singles for about $30 each rather than only as trios. .

I have the Westman Atelier eye pods in Rendezvous and find the formula soooo dry and really hard to apply. I wore one of the shades yesterday and tried mixing in a drop of Duraline to soften the formula a bit. It helped a little but it was still quite hard to apply. I purchased the Miracle Balm when it first came out. First of all, I don't know why they came in such large containers. It's nothing that you slather all over your face, every day. Using one container up would take me a lifetime, and even then I could put it in my will for future generations. Then I wasn't all that crazy about breaking the seal after awhile. It's not a bad product and I do use it from time to time, but it's not exactly my favorite product.

From Westman Atelier I just like the packaging of everything and the setting powders (I have the pink one) . Even for powder it’s a big cons: their refillable powders are on the market for a good period of time and the refills are still not available. I am not a fan of cream based products, I don’t like their lipsticks, foundation, mascaras, eyeshadows or highlighters. Overall this brand is extremely overpriced for what they offer and the pink powder is the first and the last product I will buy from WA. Jones Road is not available in Australia but based on what I can see on social media it’s a mid range brand in the best case scenario. Glossier just popped up in Australia and I think the quality is similar with Jones Road. I don’t like Glossier, RMS (very popular because of a brilliant marketing strategy and huge PR to a high number of influencers), Ilia, Kosas and other brands in the same category. I always preferred to save money and build a small collection of high quality makeup which I enjoy using. I have enough makeup and now I am even more picky with the new releases. Thanks for sharing! 🙂

I hate that Jones Road quad too! What a waste of money. It doesn’t show up on my face at all and it’s sticky. Ugh! I don’t even want to give it away, it’s so awful.

Hello Kimberly! Yes. I haven’t quite figured out the overall use of the product? That seems like the whole face would just attract gnats.

Also not a fan of WA eye pods … excessively overpriced for what they are… haven’t used the MB from Jones Road and probably won’t.. I don’t want something that balmy for makeup.. it’s gotta set down a little bit! Geez😂

I’m so surprised it just doesn’t sit down. It is just a balm and it stays a balm. Very strange

I kind of feel almost an anger about the jone’s road miracle balms - I really really really am a fan of Bobby Brown as the person and her philosophy of makeup - but I felt almost scammed with the miracle balm - I bought it right away after taking the color quiz on the site - I have strong suspicions that the default “answer” to the quiz will ALWAYS give “magic hour” which is the absolute worse of all of them - the color seems to lend itself to be an all over face “correction” but it is FULL of glitter and it feels like Vaseline! So so so much glitter, it’s awful - and a huge tub of glitter product in the cheapest packaging ever with an expensive price tag - the WTF became lumpy too, but they did refund me on that and I’m sure would have refunded me on the balm, but I just didn’t understand what was happening at the time; so my fault, but it still irritates me - they are an awesome customer service oriented company which I appreciate, so if I had understood it was so weird, I’m sure they would have helped me out I kind of use what I have as a thick occlusive moisturizer sometimes - I do like the smell and it does make my skin feel nice afterwards like a nice thick healing moisturizer - I’d probably use it on sunburns - but it’s so thick, I’ll never use it up - and I can’t use the glitter balm on my face - I put a little on the shoulders and legs, though the scent is very strong, so that messes with my perfume for the day/night - the new option of smaller pans with different colors is a better idea - I wish that option had been available before - - and I wish I could block the ads telling me regular makeup looks bad on older faces … no, there are many nice makeup products for us older gals, these days - there’s a “boomer” brand that makes some very limited no-makeup products that has the exact same philosophy… it was so similar at the start I thought they just know each other - even the white plastic packaging seems the same - but JR is much more in formulations and options -- sorry. I had to rant about this “trauma” - I did love the idea of it all… it just went real off for me and the price was too high

You know I am here for a rant. I love this kind of a comment. We have to be here for each other to scream and yell about the industry. I am so here for this. Love the conspiracy theory that it is recommending a shade that doesn’t sell well. I bet you you’re right

@@NotFitforPrintBeauty oh I’m glad I didn’t overstep - I rant with love bc I do love BB so and I think she’s awesome! Her whole life story is so amazing and her makeup philosophy is always a leap beyond the current industry standard (IMO) - but more on the conspiracy 😵‍💫 - I just got an email from Joan’s road saying that miracle 3 pack option 2 is her very very favorite because it has “magic hour” in it - ACK, magic hour is haunting me! 😱 she says something about “magic hour” being the glowing color of that sunset time making everyone beautiful and to use it as a highlighter - when I got it, it was being sold as a beautifying all over color corrector - I don’t understand the push for this super glitter product - a woman on the FB paged was really upset about this product bc it was not sold as a super glitter product, and she didn’t notice it until she was at work and in the sun. She worked with grieving people, so was very embarrassed to present with a face of glitter. Describing it now as a highlighter is a little bit more accurate description, but still not quite descriptive enough, imo - I don’t get what is going on with this shade - I hope the huge tub of this color runs out soon 🧐🫠

It’s nice to read some of these comments to realize , I am not alone and having absolutely no interest in Jones Road. Bobbi Brown, her personality is offputting to me. She sells her original brand for millions and millions of dollars and then complains when the new owners want to make some changes.. What did she expect? All her products seem really oily and just not appealing for me. Also, her stern, bossy, know it all teacher vibe when it comes to talking about women over 50 and then make up they should be wearing is strange to me too. Westman, I have a few things but it’s over priced for what it is. I think she has that quiet luxury consumer in mind and she plays to that audience very well but her make up is again just too overpriced.

Warning - you just asked a Sagittarian for an opinion: Jones Road is too sticky to interest me, I don't know why anyone with long hair would buy anything from this brand. I was a very big Bobbi Brown fan, and have been disappointed to see what Estee Lauder did with that brand. I applaud Bobbi Brown starting over again. She made a lot of money from her sale. Since then she hasn't known what to do with herself. First she tried to get into the meal replacement business. It tanked, but she was still rich. So she decided to get back into makeup. She can't compete with Bobbi Brown so she had to do something else. But I don't like any of these Jones Road products. I'm well over 50, and I wear regular foundations like Chantecaille and they look terrific. So I find her advertising ageist and insulting to my intelligence. And I have no desire to put grease on my face to make Bobbi Brown more money. If she wanted to keep making makeup, she should have kept the great brand she developed instead of letting Lauder gut it. As for Westman Atelier, her Super Loaded highlighter is one of my favorite all over color face products. I have every color except for the newest (Poppy) and use them on eyes and cheeks for a skin flattering no-makeup look. And her cream blushes and contour are very nice. But she has yet to make another product that interests me. I don't like eye shadows in pots or lip colors I have to use with fingers. There you go. Unvarnished opinions. Thanks for the video. You buy 'em so I don't have to.😉💚

I appreciate the open minded reviews. Sometimes I want someone to just review something. I don’t expect everything to work for everyone. I’m 49 with super oily skin and every time a reviewer says that a matte foundation is awful and drying I’m there for it. I am a fan of Westman products and I get that it’s a luxury brand it’s expensive for the quantity. Everyone complains about Tom Ford but you at least get a decent amount of product in their eyeshadow quad.
