I always have a gingerbread, candy, baking Santa's & Mrs. Claus theme in my kitchen. I decorated for Christmas 3 wks ago. I had my 13 yr old granddaughter here and she helped a lot which was a plus for me as I injured my knee in May and will having knee surgery Nov.22 I have been enjoying my décor. Love the tree & staircase. Great job!

We have 4 trees, our main big tree in our living room is the family ornaments and ornaments from out travels, or family room tree is all sport ornaments, dining room tree is our Angel tree with an ornaments representing the loved ones we have lost, and a small kitchen tree with food and kitchen related ornaments. Putting up Christmas is a process for sure! I love your decor for Christmas ❤️🎄

Your trees are beautiful! I decorate our tree with ornaments we have collected over the last 39 yrs. Handmade, gifted and places we have been. I used to put the ornaments that my kids made too but they are all adults now and we honestly have too many ornaments to put on the tree. I do put out some smaller trees but normally just add fairy lights to them. I guess you could say it is traditional with a bit of vintage and new. I have been decorating my kitchen with the gingerbread theme off and on for years. I say if you like it do it.

I do the same decor about every year, except this year I have a new fireplace with a mantle I will be putting garland and some new stockings. My daughter just married so will have to add another stocking 😊I still use the stockings from when the kids were little. It’s time to upgrade those😀

I love gingerbread houses and have collected them for the last five years or so. (Mostly Kurt Adler houses, but I also like Raz imports and December Diamonds brands.) That’s my collection I put out in the shelves in the living room instead of a tiny house Christmas village. Every year I move them around. Last year they were in the dining room on the sideboard. I do a slim gingerbread themed tree in the entryway, and red and white with silver mercury glass in the living room. The kids Rec room has grinch theme and our family ornaments that they’ve picked out or made over the years. I’ve got so much junk! Just cleaned out my attic and got rid of dozens of boxes of decor items. I’m trying to make things a little more manageable for myself this year. Really just saved sentimental items, greenery, a couple trees, and some nicer ornaments. Went down about twenty bins at least! (It was totally insane, but we’ve got a larger home.) it looked like Christmas exploded in my home the last few years. -maximalist decorating, and NOT in a good way. 😂 Last year I was so exhausted trying to put it all away, I vowed to scale back considerably. It’s kinda funny to me how gingerbread, and grinch is huge now, when I’ve been decorating that way for years. Guess I’m one of the “OG”. 😊

Not knocking Dollar tree but I used to have a ton of that stuff over the years that got beat up and it was time to let go of it. I still have a LOT but I keep scaling back and I'm loving it.

I got a huge Grinch stuffed animal at Hobby Lobby in Sept for 40 or 50% off . They had so much Grinch stuff . I also snagged the 20” Jim Shore Grinch from Costco. When l went back to buy one for a friend the next day , they were sold out 😔.

@@JessieLifestyleAtHome the best time to buy Christmas stuff is at other times in the year. When the seasons change such as going into spring or summer. If you can score some nice things when people clean out their closets or attics either before or after a holiday, that helps too.

Christmas trees are like babies…there are no ugly ones! Your decor is fun. I have put plain garland above my kitchen cabs for a couple of years now after watching you do it, and my family loves it. My teens would be so disappointed if I didn’t go all out for Christmas 😊🎄

Absolutely beautiful. I have 12 kids...adults now. We have a name tree. My husband and I and our 12 kids and daughter in laws and son in laws and grandkids and pets..I love it. The 2nd tree has our ornaments throughout the yrs. I love the memories.

Love that! My living room tree has my grandmothers hand me down ornaments on it and also all the pewter ornaments my husband's grandparents gave him throughout his childhood. The upstairs tree will have all the handmade ornaments we do every year and the ones the kids made through Grade school! I love the sentimental as well!

Catching up on videos. I love your trees. Im a ribbon girl now. 2 Christmases ago I finally learned how to put them on my tree. I think its a personal choice whether to put ribbon on not. Its your home and you decorate it how you want. Your home looks so inviting. 😍

Yes! I like ribbons on other trees! I've seen some real done up trees with like signs and giant picks that are gorgeous but not for me. That's why I love decor videos as it shows a variety of different trees. My favorite time of year for sure.

I love that! My biggest tree has a twinkle mode as well but it looks a little busy on camera so I usually leave it non motion. My upstairs tree can be colored or white. I let my kids choose! I like the options 🥰

The house already looks so festive! I’ve never decorated for Christmas before Thanksgiving, and then because my youngest child was born on December 11th, I stopped decorating for Christmas until after his birthday, now he has a child born in December and they don’t give a flip about waiting to decorate, often decorating way before Thanksgiving. When I was a child, the small town I lived in didn’t seem to do any decorating or even have Christmas items for sale until the day after Thanksgiving, of course that has all changed, and we move on to the next holiday before the current one is over, but we were so excited to go downtown to see what holiday decorations the city (town, really) has adorned the street lights with. Back then decorations were pretty simple, nothing over board, and most people put up one real tree and maybe a few lights outdoors. You really outdo yourself every year Jesse, every year your decorations are prettier than the year before be just because of the few added pieces. I bet Malcolm is soooooo excited! 🎄🎄

I theme by color and not decor based on the decor I have. My living room this year will be black and red checkered look while my entryway is blue ( I posted that video yesterday on my channel) then every other room in my house is red and green except my daughter room which I do in pink

Still love your idea of putting out the kids photos. Each holiday that my family gathers I try to get a group photo and then frame it with the year date. Each holiday I can put out the photos from the last few years. Had a friend who would do a single scrapbook page with photos for each holiday each year. Then when the extended family came over they could all look through the “Christmas book” on the coffee table, or the “Easter book” etc. it was a fun way to keep up with her hobby and her kids growth, but not be too demanding on her time.

I agree with you that black handrails look gorgeous!!! Especially with the lighted garIand and the tree. The entry looks so elegant!! I am starting to check the sellers on Amazon . There was a pillow l almost bought , but the 3rd parties ratings were awful , then l saw that the same seller was on a Sears site and another and it had really bad reviews on all of them . I just bought my first flocked tree 😳l hope that l didn’t make a mistake. But l will put up with the mess bc your flocked looks beautiful. ( l don’t put ribbons on trees ) Your house looks so pretty and it was nice to see your birdhouses in the hutch upstairs. I have always loved how you decorated your houses for the holidays, and you did not disappoint this year . It’s fantastic 🎅🏻🎄🤶🏻

I have never done ribbons on my trees because if I’m honest I always feel a wee bit intimidated that they don’t turn out right however, seeing how you did them today ( wrapping them around your hand then just hanging them rather than having them intertwined in the tree) I actually think I could do that, thank you

Christmas is going to be so fun with Malcolm this year!! I love watching you decorate, makes me excited to get mine done. As far as themes, my kitchen has been gingerbread and candy canes for years. Our downstairs tree is hunting and fishing themed. We'll see which decor I decide to use this year upstairs. I'm trying to not buy anything new. Now it's time for you to turn off the other lights and read with little man under a Christmas tree. Enjoy your beautiful home!! P.S. I love the 2 trees in the kitchen!!

Hi Jessie.. as you decorate for Christmas today i am putting up fall/Thanksgiving lol.. love your decorating its always on point in my opinion.. I have no theme and i do not use ribbon i keep it simple but yet looks very festive!! Same weather here last wk i was in shorts tank top and flip flops doing yard work.. i had to put heat on this morning its crazy!! Hope all is well have a great day💜💜
