New Wilkinson M-Series Tremolo -??- Update your SQUIER Stratocaster??

For all you Squier guitar affiliated out there - This could be helpful!
The Wilkinson SHOULD work for all Squier Affinity and simmilar Stratocasters but be aware it may not contribute as much to your sound like you hope to!!!!!!!

I ordered 3 different Tune-o-Matics for my SG before I got the right one. My old one was sagging 2-3 mm. It's funny the little details that change from part to part and model year to model year. I took off the saddle pieces and reversed them(the same way they came on the original), getting those little wire clips to go back in was a real pain in the neck. The new bridge did intonate good though without too much saddle piece travel.

Personally, I prefer the tone of the bent steel saddles. Slightly less "shouty", bit more touch sensitivity. ymmv

The Bent saddles look cooler and that’s my preference. However if you already have a high end guitar with block saddles, I would keep them.

Hi, can you tell me anything about the way the bar attaches to the bridge in the Wilkinson? I see that it has no threads and found no info out there about how it stays in. Does it stay secure? Is there any play when using it?

Hi, there was a plastic bushing inside the block which was secured with an allen screw on the backside of the tremblock If I remember it correctly. Holding the bar is friction based.

I bought the same: terrible tremolo. Not recommended. The made in Japan or Korea Wilkinson's are the good stuff.

...which are not available with the 36mm block here in my region -so lets hope for the best!
