New Windows 8 Application for Cabin Crew | In-Flight Experience | Emirates Airline

Emirates announces the development of a line-of-business application for Windows 8 called Knowledge Driven Inflight Service (KIS). An in-flight communication and customer relationship management device first introduced by Emirates for its Pursers in 2004, the KIS application will run on the HP ElitePad 900 business tablets, and will enable Emirates to continue to deliver extraordinary customer service and experiences.

Wow. Whoever worked on the KIS app did a wonderful job based on the bits I could see. It's not just one of those apps that are just good for viewing info; it's also good for actually doing work like perform reviews, type up stuff, select/organize things, etc. Great job Emirates.

I love flying with Emirates, however my parents travelled from UK to Australia to visit me (as I told them how good Emirates was) and they had a terrible flight. Their bags had been forced open and items were taken from their cases.

all the paperwork can be done on a tablet....especially for sfs and purser which have a lot of it to do. Also upgrading people who are flying with emirates to a different class is also a lot easier now with the tablet as they van show the seats available and do it all from the tablet which can help them choose as well.

The inflight service was terrible, from Manchester to Dubai and vice versa they had very rude passengers surrounding them with kids kicking chairs and generally the people were very loud and inconveniencing other passengers around them by being very obnoxious and always moving seats and banging other peoples seats. Apparently the crew were not helpful. Also reporting the baggage break in - Emirates simply could not care less and did absolutely nothing, they were not interested!

dont forget that emirates is not the only one to see your bags. kf your bags didnt have approved locks security (airport) could have broke it open. That is why valuables should be in your carry on. As for kids what do you want the staff to do? They have little control over that and it is what it is. sadly some pax have a hard time being polite.
