New WMATA 8000's Series Train and Cherry Blossoms Special

Bit of a rushed video but I got to check out the new 8000's series trains at the Fleet of the Future Expo yesterday and wanted to post my experience. I also went hunting for the special edition cherry blossom cards and the cherry blossom train.

I love the open gang way design, but wouldve been nice to extend it longer than just two cars. Quick question though, what is the purpose of heated floor tiles? I can't even fathom what issue thatd solve

From what I was told, it helps heat the cars, faster and retain the heat during the cold months.
