Now THATS a fucking New World video. That ending piece is so important, 100 levels worth (300 crates) is a HUGE sample size for New World stuff imo, definitely big enough to draw generalized per level value conclusions from. Absolutely stunning statistical work brother.

Thanks friend. I actually checked against another video from reddit of a guy opening 200 levels worth of crates and his results were in line (roughly 2x whatever I got) so I am fairly confident in those average numbers over a large enough sample size.

Love it man. I do all my own gathering Mostly, Only buy dips. This video makes me realize that now aptitude is actually WORTH IT! It has motivated me to get out and wear the harvesting gear, armoring trophies, food, etc. Its nice that crafting is actually profitable now. I am an old player so I have just been refining for a while now which used to be the main way to stack asmodeum and what not.

Right on! Profitability is highly dependent on material prices so if you can buy low and sell high you will do just fine.

Hard to say. Prices will vary from one server to the next. Best advice I can give is to use the data from the video to determine whether cost / expected value is a net positive.

Indeed, it can be RNG dependent on small sample size. Also, profit is in large part determined by how much you are able to buy the base mats at. The cheaper, the better.

I'd like to know if Arcana is also worthwhile for aptitude farming. I think the quints / motes really help even out the cost discrepancy between the 2. Crafting magical weapons with the cheapest motes seems to be the way for Arcana.

In my experience Arcana is in the worst case (no Starmetal weaponsmith charms or brilliant animus) about break even. Any expensive craft mods I get is pure profit. That's on my server where I can buy wildwood and barbvine for about 7-8 gold each on a good day and craft life staffs that salvage into Ironwood planks, which sell for over 20 gold a piece. It really depends on these prices. Ice gauntlets would use cheaper motes, but there's way less profit as scar and smolderhide are about same price as infused leather on my server.

I haven't messed around with Arcana Aptitude Crates yet but I'll be taking a look into it soon. Mostly I just convert motes to quints for profit and gain some aptitude levels in the process. As smurf mentioned it may be worthwhile as a mean for converting cheap Tier V materials into more expensive materials but likely less lucrative due to the lack of high value perk mods.

Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. Yes, for the most part grinding armor aptitude crates is the same. You'll need to have the expansion and get to 250 armorsmithing first though if you want to get the new crates containing prismatic mats and the new perk mods. Once you've got that done making expedition replica gloves or infused silk/leather/ori gloves remains the best method. I should really make an updated video...

How profitable this is will depend in large part on prices of raw materials (cost per lvl) vs legendary mats and perk mods (profit per lvl) on your server - but yes, it can be very good.

True i just opened it about 10purple 10blue 10green crate of armoring and got like 8 shard of consecrated iron and 2 squirmingvines and 2 brilliant animus really profitable if you are lucky person ig

This information is in the video but I don't mind answering it in the comments. If you craft Replica Gloves it takes 138 crafts for one full aptitude level (1 green, 1 blue and 1 purple chest) whereas if you craft normal (non replica) T5 gloves it requires 290 crafts for one full aptitude level. In the video I open 100 levels worth of chests and go over the results.

They can be. When I had first checked they were around 1k each but a couple of days later they had dropped to 2-300g.

@@andhikawildanrabbani1693 Correction - Starmetal Weaponsmith Charm is in fact worth money, but it doesn't drop from the Armoring Aptitude Crates. It drops from Arcana, Engineering and Weaponsmithing crates. The perk mod I was thinking of is the Starmetal Armorer's Charm which drops from Armorring Crates and is not worth much.
