I've had the privilege of being Martin Kneece's Dubs partner with the Augusta Disc Golf Association's Thursday Night Dubs. So happy to see him competing at his level. He was an amazing partner in a very casual league. Nice guy, super chill. Hope this is the start of great things for him.

He was killing it in the first two rounds. Unfortunate everyone didn’t get to see his full potential on the DGPT channel. Check out Ace Run Pro for r2 coverage of him!

why are so many holes distances listed so inaccurately? How does that happen in the age of bushnells lol??
@timothymeyer36322 жыл бұрын
Because most of these courses were designed and measured way before modern technology of range finders. In most cases these distances were walked off and when holes aren’t perfectly straight, it’s not easy to get an accurate measurement by walking it off with tape measures or other methods. Range finders have been a game changer because they are pretty much dead on with the distance
@timothymeyer36322 жыл бұрын
Also, most courses don’t feel like redoing all their signs just to change the distance, even if it is slightly off. A lot of courses on the pro tour have adapted and changed their signs and distances though especially after their course is called out on Jomez on multiple holes for having the wrong distance
@AIKIDOSILVERDALE2 жыл бұрын
@@timothymeyer3632 But range finders have been around for long enough for someone to change a $50 sign... seems like a critical failure in course management surely?
@youropionmattersnot2 жыл бұрын
@@AIKIDOSILVERDALE maybe. But most of these courses are held together by volunteers and donations. It's all about the monetization. The sport is still "taking off" 40 years later. I've known about this game pretty much all my life but never played a round till a few months ago and I'm 56. I mentioned the pitiful 🏆that was handed to Paul in a post. Ridiculous. I'm sure the payout was pitiful and Ridiculous as well. Point being. The host course and organizing body could have done better with the "jazz". A lot of these guys that are pro are just part timers that work it in just like all of us that play when we can. Why not get a local ACE hardware store to put up a big zero turn mower or green egg for first ace on a hole. Everyone of those dudes on tour could and would use either one of those. The equipment manufacturers have figured out how to make money with it..... The content providers and internet disc golf "coverages" are getting significant steady views and traffic witch means $$$$$$. The playing arena is next.......

Not to be THAT GUY, but I’ll be THAT GUY lol. Garden spiders are NOT banana spiders and anyone down south will tell you. The easiest way to tell the difference is the web. Banana spiders spin a gold web, but the gardens spin a white web with a zig zag pattern in the center.
