Is the spear coup de grace point not wasted? i rarely see you do the followup attack since you do the Perforate when they're knocked down

When I have my spear out my main intention is to put rend on the enemy. If I have not landed the javelin then if I sweep I'll use Perforate to put rend and follow up with Bow for DPS. Fight at 6:45 since I had some rend on the musket player I could finish him with coup de grace. It is very situational and I have a soft spot for the animation :p it's probably a legacy perk as I use to run bleeding coup de grace perk but don't anymore as I have Jagged on the spear. So it's definitely not essential :)

You have to force Attunement as it is not in the perk pool from my understanding. If you use golden scarab I'd force Attunement & Keenly Jagged - for your third perk you are hoping to get Vicious or Enchanted - even Keen would make it a decent bow.

How do you variate the build for pve (if you do PvE at all)? I saw that you only had leveled up hatchet apart from this.

Good question - for PVE Dungeons the bow is not very popular but spear is and this build is perfect for it as groups want a spear user for rend. Ill usually pair the spear with hatchet for DPS in dungeons. PVE with bow you'll switch up evade to rain of arrows. For open world pve & questing you can use the build as is :)

Hi , i m new , why you don't go full dext and just 100 in constitution ? (like bow range builds)

There is diminishing returns after 300 dex in terms of damage and the con perks at 150 and 200 are extremely useful. If you want to just sit in the backline shooting arrows behind your zerg it's fine to go 100 con and stat pad. If you want to engage in combat like I do in the video and be aggressive, front line and impactful for your team then you need more con for survivability. Even at 200con you'll see I still have high burst damage with this build because of all the rends :)

Hey man, there is lots of videos on crafting but the gear is pretty cheap. As they don't have shirking fort or freedom you will pick up this gear for like 10 - 25k a piece on Trading Post which is not too expensive.

what are your thoughts on GA WH? i run similar build and can't seem to do enough dmg to them.

You'll see in the video I fight quite a lot of Bruisers, they usually run 300/200 builds and the best way to do dmg to them is using your rend skills. You'll see when I fight Bruisers I'm in close and usually start with the spear. If you land a sweep then use Perforate to apply rend and finish them with bow or if you land javelin then this also applies rend so you can do big dmg. With this build if you land javelin it's an extra 25% dmg for 10 seconds :)

The bow as seen here can be short/mid/long range and has movement to create space. Musketeer shoots farther/ plays like a sniper. Havent seen really any musk builds tho.

Can you say using the spear and bow repetitively naturally enhances your aiming abilities over time when it comes to pvp? Or do you find yourself having accuracy issues every now and than since you've started?

Ohhh man... this game is definitely not a linear progression like an FPS when it comes to aim with the bow haha... you definitely get better over time but with the bugs, desync, projectile timing, lag etc... every now and again I still miss quite a few shots. You do become a lot more fluidic though after time. Fight at 5:39 has some great hits and some great misses :p

The bow doesn’t require any skill to use and you don’t have to have aim to use it. It has huge aim assist and they increased the bow hitbox on people to make it easier to hit targets. Just look at most of his shots, the arrow is like a heat seeking missile that flies straight at the target. The bow used to require really precise aim before the arena update but they removed all the skill from it when they put arenas in.

I use to have it on a bit of armour but found the amount of times I used it was pretty rare. If I don't get my javelin off, if I use sweep I'll follow up with Perforate to apply rend. From memory I switched out my bleeding sweep piece with empowering explosive shot. I also run keenly Jagged on spear and bow to keep the dot up.

Do you find Pen shot to be better then rapid shot? I use a Bow/GS if that gives any context haha love your aim do you also not hold for heavy attack when in battle and just shoot? Couldn’t tell

I personally find pen better than rapid. As soon as I see a bow player lock Into rapid I'll javelin them and it's pretty much over after that. I think rapid would be better if you're a back line bow player to pad your dmg or if you use rapier to run away. If you're front line and agressive with your secondary (eg spear) - GS I assume you're aggressive as well - I'd go pen as the light into pen combo is pretty powerful. I mix between light and heavy attack - if I'm not directly in combat I'll use heavy a bit - if I'm directly fighting someone with counterplay then it's mainly light.

My build is pretty cheap and achievable to get to. Chest, Ring & Ear Ring is PVP track. Headgear is from Genesis. The other armour doesn't have freedom or shirking fort so can pick up from trading post for 10k - 20k a piece. Spear is cheap as not many people use sundering Javelin. Only expensive item is Bow - the bow goes on my server for 150k.

A lot of practice lol. I've been bow/spear since launch and play it exclusively so you get a good feel for it after a long time. This being said the desync, lag, projectile drops and having to try predict people's movements I still miss a lot as well.
