We react and review the World's Largest Temple outside India in the USA! The BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Robbinsville in Central New Jersey is a Hindu place of worship built by the BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha and consecrated by Pramukh Swami Maharaj. The BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha, led by Mahant Swami Maharaj, is a denomination of the Swaminarayan branch of Hinduism. The mandir is built of hand-carved Italian Carrara marble, Indian pink stone and limestone. The mandir was constructed according to guidelines outlined in ancient Vedas, or Hindu scriptures. The mandir is open daily to visitors and for worship. In addition to the mandir, the complex includes a congregation hall.

Who is he?

He was a guru in Gujarat India 200 years back. His followers worship him as supreme god . His name was Ghanshyam Pande . His followers consider him above Krishna , Rama or Shiva. They call him Swaminaryan or Nilkanthvarni or Aksharpurshottam. His abode Akshrdham . Basically it’s a guru centered concept. He died at age 49 in Kathiyawad Gujarat of Cholera. Mostly some Gujarati people following this sect .

An Avatar of Lord NarNarayan of Badrikashram. By the curse of Sage Durvasa and devotion of Hariprasad and Premvati, the Lord chose to be born in Kosal Janpad of Ayodhya, from where at the age of 11 he renounced home as a Brahmachari and went on for Tapasya and Teerthatana, enlightening all Mumukshus who met him on the way. He then seek refuge unto Swami Ramananda who was considered as an avtar of Uddhava and started a Vaidik Sampraday named Uddhav Sampraday which after ascending of Bhagwan Swaminarayan came to be known as Swaminarayan Sampraday.

@@Athato_Brahmajijnasa does this even have any basis? Just a random story it seems... i also read in websites that swaminarayan sampraday treats a mere saint who lived during british raj as a god and even places him above Krishna and Shiva. Idk from where these random people come in from...

@@Sayontan2694 one more thing, I have many followers of Swaminarayan Sampraday who are living their lives according to the Vedas, Puranas and Dharmashastras. This shows that they cannot seek for "Lokaishana" by claiming Swaminarayan as Parmatma. So through Bhaktas we know Bhagwan as seen through the Shastras, we understand Swaminarayan through his Paramhansas and Grihastha Bhaktas.
