The two-year-old Chihuahua has been confirmed as the world's shortest living dog at height of just 9.14 cm (3.59 in).

Oh goodness my heart got so anxious seeing she had no leash on- it takes but less than a second for a hawk to swoop down and the reaction time from the human to try to get to drop it would need to be kind of a miracle! Pearl needs a leash with pearls ☺️

I now own her sister Suli and she looks just like Pearl, and pretty tiny in her own right. I just lost a micro sized Chihuahua at nearly 16 years of age that might’ve challenged Pearl’s size. I just didn’t realize how tiny she was but she was a true unicorn! She was roughly a single pound when I took her to be cremated. I am devastated at her passing, and she will forever be my tiny angel. 👼 🐕

Pearl is incredibly cute. I’ve had dogs of all sizes in my life (5 pounds to 150 pounds). I encourage everyone out there, if you can at some point in your life, to get a toy breed. They are incredible companions who will enrich your life beyond belief (in a different way than a larger dog). Take care everyone.

0:53 don't take my word for this, scroller, cause i didn't dig very deep. but, i'm pretty sure when they say 'identical sister' here, they're referring to one of 49 other millys created at the sooam biotech research foundation, for a commercial breeder. pearl is the descendent of a clone. now, regardless of your opinion on the ethics of cloning, i think one thing's for sure: with how experimental it still is, being able to carry it out so freely presents greater threats than simply allowing a chihuahua's lineage to gatekeep a world record.
