I predominantly solo this game and I'm a Tank main, so my farming setup is voidbent armor with pearls. Deeproot and Titanwall, with the Foulmouth hatchet as my secondary. Jewelry is Blessing of Forefathers, Smooth Bone Ring, and the Doom's Chance earring. Il I run have other gear, but that's my main setup for when I'm wandering around and farming.

i run my full tanking gear from any of the dungeons with sns/hammer and can solo a lot of elite content too, a little knowledge of how a bosses mechanics work can go a long way

Solo builds like that works very good in mutation, up until around M8 ^^ I only got trouble with DPS on M10. I even run 311 str/200 con in heavy. What people don't realize is that heavy DPS in a solo build is very not that far from light DPS, mainly due to the sheer higher amount of uptime you got hitting the mobs. In contrary to light DPS who have to dodge and reposition themselves to not get killed ^^

Solo kephri and Scorpio is cool. I'm not 100% sure which ward to use vs Scorpio but I have done him solo in angry earth ward plus hammer since it can be cc'd. Fighting those 2 in the doorway reduces interference from adds.

I would recommend anyone trying to do this to run Divine on the amulet as well, it will increase your effective health by quite a bit, even just a 2 perker is amazing

From today's PTR patch notes, some of the changes to greatsword: - Path Of Onslaught Quick Charge Bonus - Increased the time it takes to charge a heavy attack while in the Path Of Onslaught stance to be only 50% faster instead of twice as fast. - Trenchant Recovery: Reduced the power of the lifesteal from charged heavies from 10%-40% based on gear score to 5%-20%. - Crosscut - Increased cooldown from 15s to 20s. - Giant Slayer Passive - Reduced damage from 20% to 15%. - Relentless Rush, Adaptive Rush Upgrade - Reduce the root from 1s to 0.5s. - Swift Onslaught Passive - Changed activation condition to trigger off of ability hits and not ability activations. - Calamity Counter damage reduced from 100% to 80%. - Steadfast Strike’s first attack damage reduced from 70% to 40%. - Skyward Slash’s first attack damage reduced from 80% to 50%. - Fixed issue where the Greatsword Relentless Rush and Skyward slash abilities would apply their effects through blocks. 😢

As far as I can tell Trenchant Recovery does not stack. It works only from the weapon which you are hitting with and perk from secondary weapon is off. Or am I missing something?

no you only get trenchant from your main weapon your attacking with, what you want on second weapon is enfeebling skewer.. then you open with skewer, weaken your target, then trenchant

I am not sure if its exactly broken, just weird, like with trenchant recovery specifically, I see little to no increase, now would it be good with leaching crosscut, or straight leeching, maybe, but with trenchant, it doesnt increase my healing and at times seems to completely override it with much smaller heals

I'd be curious to know more why you don't think luck does much? It seems like I get way less greens, a lot more named, and better rolls on the drops I get as well. I run full luck gear, jewelry, 3 major trophy, luck ss (both with luck on them) and definitely wouldn't do an ECR or really any farming without full luck imo but would love to see a video about your thoughts on luck.

No, oak regent set is guaranteed 600, even if your not 200 armoring

no, but there is a set thats comparable, it all comes from various brimstone bosses, easy solo's , Colossal Stormplate, Weighted Greaves, etc, i have the mall listed in my solo boss guides

I would be very interested to see a quick summary of the results from your tests on leeching runeglass. Your conclusions goes in contradiction of another KZbinr results (Khrota) and my personal experience. Because I switched to full leeching runglass on every gear and saw my leeching greatly increase. So I would be interested to see yours, even if that mean I would have lost lots of time and money crafting these ^^"

Sure, because with trenchant recovery specifically, I find it doesnt improve it at all, and in some cases it seems to bug it, giving me mild healing I assume fromthe rune glass and nothing at all from my trench

@@5HeadSurvivalGaming that's an interesting phenomenon I never encountered. I would have notice something that big, so that's a relief. Dumb question, but you're sure those little numbers weren't due to not having lose enough health ? The game only shows the heals needed to top you. So if you heal yourself by 2000 HP per hit but have only lose 400 HP, the game will only show a 400 HP heal on screen.

You say you always have 20% fortify from the perfect vigilance passive skill, however it shows that there is a 20s cooldown, and the fortify lasts for 3 seconds, Does it proc regardless of the cooldown or is it bugged?

Thats a remarkable good question, I am going to have to move some gear around and test this, but if you watch me fighting its up way to often for the cooldown to be accurate, although I never thought on it much before

Chardis equipment is from mutated lazarus, but is not needed, you can get the same type of gear from bosses in brimstone, nwdb.info/db/item/heavychest_colossalstormplatet5_v2 , nwdb.info/db/item/heavylegs_weightedgreavest5_v2 etc, and you want to use weapons with leeching, or trenchant, or some skill that leeching health, otherwise you need to use a life staff as offhand

ya you lose resist in exchange for no more healing, I have tested over and over, and I see no additional healing at all from it, and frequently it skews my healing giving me the 5% instead of my trench strike

I just got back into NW after having been away almost a year. I have a little stockpile of all the cooldown mats. Say I wanted to craft, or have crafted, a set of this Winter event gear. How would I do that? The Schematics can't be obtained anymore right, and don't the Winter event peices require a token of some sort?

Just a comment because this is something which really annoys/frustrates me about this game. I only play solo (following some really bad experiences in WoW) and I'd love to try your setup, however, as far as I know the Chardis set is a drop only, from a dungeon, which the game doesn't allow me to solo (and probably couldn't). You say it's easy for people to get, but only if I'm prepared to break my soloing rule 🥵

Finally I gave up and checked the forums, it seems that his loot was "temporarily disabled" a few months ago, I have no idea if it's ever coming back nor if there is a replacement anywhere.

I have been doing brimstone chest runs so I would assume I picked it up in a run and threw it in my stash

not exactly the beginner "Early Game 60" gear since all of yours is at 625 and referring to gear sets as "easy to get" to a casual player is probably slightly deceiving too. but I do like your other videos.

The difference between 600 and 625 in almost nothing, the only thing 625 affects is mutations, you get 5 attributes and less than 3% on gear from 600-625

In this build, I could do all these bosses in 590 gear... however, this build is being nerfed in the patch in 4 weeks anyhow because its too new player friendly and too OP, so ags killed it

Why on EARTH to have 15 points extra in strenght when the GS scales 65%/65% str dex? Simply just put them into dex and you get more dmg and dont lose any bonuses? Also, why you need grit when heavy attacking anyway, the heavy attacks already have grit from passives. You can go 200/200.

@@teipkep I believe what happens is the heavy attack skill passive grit effect doesn't activate till around mid way through your animation as it counts the first half a second or so as a light attack before determining you are holding down long enough to be a heavy attack, so the 300 STR grit will protect you from stagger in those initial parts of the animation as 300 STR grit also includes "light" attacks, which could be the difference between getting the attack off or being staggered

@@Mr-Linderman Yes this is correct. Grit from weapon perks or abilities normally occurs only during the attack itself and not the wind up (with some notable exceptions). Grit from 300Str seems omnipresent by comparison.

yeap trench is the most powerful perk for PvE period. I can do a build with half the effort of what was shown in this video and still survive some insane encounters in PvE
