You made this look easy!!!! But I know it isn't having tried with pretty much the same setup and failing on most bosses. Not sure if it's due to me never playing a tank or my setup? Only differences are Amulet - Fortified recover instead of Stamina recovery. Earing - I don't have refreshing move. Sword - I have Vicious/ Ancient Bane / Lifestealing which I would think is better for Ancients. I'm using retaliate on my Gems rather than taunt. Also I have Basic Ancient trophies. Same coatings, honing stones and ward potions. Is that enough to make a difference. Or do I just need to learn to tank better???!!! Nice video.

The must have gear for this build is full ancient ward on all armor, trenchant recovery on the WH, the skills I have equipped and fire ward gems as the archers inflict a fire dot. With the above set up and rotation of skills for cc'ing mobs and heavy attacks to gain health back you should be able to navigate Helios. The skills on WH are important because they all mitigate damage by stunning, flattening, and knocking down while leeching health the more mobs you hit. Sns is important as you can mitigate a lot damage through block, fortify from defenders resolve, shield rush and defensive formation passive at the bottom of the right side tree. The refreshing ward on armor, stam regen on amulet, leeching on ring, regen on earring, lifeleech and refreshing move will take the build to the next level so try your best to get them after you've obtained full ward and a trenchant recovery WH. Besides that it's practice, try pulling smaller mobs and practicing the rotation in the video. Don't forget to pot when you need it! Hope that helps.

Farm, can be obtained from Mutated Laz expedition: nwdb.info/db/item/heavychest_li_boss_mutt5_v2_new You can also farm for the Corrupted Rage set in the open world: nwdb.info/db/item/heavychest_elitepoi_corruptedbreachspecialt5 or get some cheap purple gear from the trading post with ancient ward on it.

@@rad0r764 Dynasty is a rough one because the barrel encounter can be buggy where the mobs don't aggro the tank. If I were you I would get your ancient set and run some Lazarus or Depths with your corrupted set.

Why do you use the defender ultimate ability?

SnS is used as a defensive weapon vs the Ancients as we do more cc/dmg with our WH. When we swap to SnS it's to proc defenders resolve for life/fortify and when we block the ultimate decreases all damage, including dots, and damage we take from behind as well. Very helpful vs the archers and their fire/lightning dots.

Great question, the enemy type at Heliopolis (Ancients) are weak to strike damage (Warhammer). The Warhammer I have has trenchant recovery which gives us a substantial amount of sustain on heavy attacks. Trenchant recovery combined with the cc abilities of the WH make it a very powerful main weapon against the Ancients. I use SnS to bolster my defenses and recover when my health gets low and it's a great weapon for hyper aggressive bosses but WH cc aoe's are unmatched in these scenarios when you are outnumbered 10 to 1. Yes it can tank any dungeon with ancient mobs/bosses all the way to M10. For regular dungeons all you need is the appropriate ward, and follow along with the rest of the build. For mutations it's appropriate ward+gems depending on the mutation mods.

I have all the raw footage, I plan on uploading each encounter at some point but didn't feel it was necessary. Gameplay loop isn't terribly exciting, abilities on cooldown and heavy attacks. Due to people randomly showing up this took me multiple takes so I could solo each encounter, the raw footage would also be too long of a video. 0 deaths once the build was up and running, thanks for watching.
