For anybody looking for the new update, hard reset your Xbox if you haven't in a while and see if that helps. My brother got his like 3 weeks ago and I got mine like a week ago. We are both on the series S and I had my Xbox on and then thought about it so I hard reset it and when I turned it back on I had the new dashboard. I hope this helps somebody.

Dude this update is whack i dont want 1000 ads and games i dont have installed on my system. Like showing movies and all that jazz on my home sceen is pissing me off Games might be free to play my system isnt i dont want ads on dashboard

I fucking hate it! I haven't used my Series X since getting it cause of all the forced ads. It's horrible! If they don't fix it I'm selling my Xbox!! Didn't spend 450 for an ad machine.

Yea I agree @marksapollo. It really sucks how blatantly they have taken away the ability to customize the layout for the home screen just for ad visibility.
