New Xmaxx Tire JConcepts Magmas & Cleaning up After Bashing in Mud

Thanks to you Earl I pulled the trigger for an Xmaxx. Next level of awesome for me. I purchased the jconcepts choppers instead because my stock foams broke apart while not becoming unglued (which sucks but hoping to repair them). Choppers work well for me since then. Just love this truck. Be safe out there while bashing.

Earl you are like a mind reader, and again this is why I watch, I have been looking at those tires for months at my local hobby shop, they look awesome, but I just didn't want to be the test pilot on these for the price, so I will see what you say and that will make up my mind...Thanks Earl keep the Xmaxx content rolling 💯

9 months for tires = nuts! I run backflips on my overpowered XMAXX max6 + 1100 kv and I love them! No exploding like Traxxas tires do every time… lol

m2c wheel extension is what I have. I have gone thu way way too many traxxas tires, they are junk! Still on my 1st set of Backflips, drive it every weekend.@@earlmoorhead5555

Yes dirt does more wear then water and definitely using a car wash with non corrosive water helps 👍

Had blow out on my dbxle and glued the tire back together and has been holding up well for the last 6 months same kind of rip in the tire.

Understand your feeling..I got duratrax six packs...been running them for 2 years now..have reglued them..sidewalls start to crack..been happy with them

@@billpatrick4681 har to glue a rim thats missing pieces I’ve showed the damage on on wheels I really like the tires and the cost but couldn’t keep the rims from shattering on impact of rocks 🤷🏻‍♂️but definitely run what works for me they didn’t 💯

Have you ever set the blue Rock n Roll Xmaxx body onto the green ultimate chassis? Curious how they look together. The weight Traxxas lists the belted Sledgehammer as is a bit off unless they vary a fair bit. I weighed mine unused before I put them on my Ultimate and they were 812g each. I am curious to see how you made out with the J Concepts in the next video.

Have you had problems with foam inserts wadding up in the belted tires ?

No not yet I have had issues on the xmaxx stock tires and the non belted sledgehammer tire

TAPE THE INSIDE of the Tires with Gorilla tape it helps a lot Earl i do it alot man!

Hello Earl, aren't there any adapters for the Xmax to use the backflip 8s from Arma? I think they are quite good rubbers and not very expensive...all good!

Yes m2c extension but they put a massive stress on the front c-hub causing an already weak spot to break 👍

I have put 8s backflips on my xmaxx ...... They are great..... All you need is the hot racing captured wheel nuts and they work fine...... Hope that helps..... Bash on brother..... 💪

I run the m2c hubs on both my xmaxx and xrt. Never had any issue with added stress , haven't broke anything yet with them on, and I run all the arrma wheels and tires on them both. Way better setup gives the truck just a little wider stance, and gives you a way beefier hub assembly with a true 24 mm hex. And you can get away from Traxxas garbage wheels and tires.

@@scottssrrc1900 the factory front c-hubs break stock and the added stress on a bad landing will snap them quickly but some ppl just don’t jump that high needing anything but the extension 👍

@@earlmoorhead5555 I've switched over to all RPM front axle carrier's, caster blocks and stub axle carrier's , got tired of breaking them. I would launch my xmaxx high enough to snap the factory stock aluminum stub axles clean in half. I have several friends I bash with that had the same problems. We all switched to the m2c extended aluminum stub axles, and have not had any issues with them snapping in half. And with them gives you lots of options for tires. Rich duperbash approved

hey what cheaper tires can you recommend? I cant stop these damn things from shattering and exploding on me, brand new sets barely last an hour before the tires come unglued or the wheels break so much the tires don't have anything to hold onto. Tired of this xmaxx already after barely two weeks of just constant fixing. My dad's ultimate hasn't fared much better.

Best cheap way is to buy good tires sledgehammer tires and foams and glue them onto you xmaxx rims to get a cheap good way of doing it without cheap tires not holding up 💯

@@earlmoorhead5555 welp, guess the ol (two week old so not really but.. y'know) xmaxx is going to be sitting here for a while because I found out earlier today that I no longer have a job and so I shouldn't really be blowing $$ on any tires whether the sledgehammer tires work or not. Thanks for the advice once I get back up from my fall I'll put it to good use.
