Thanks for the tour, Ginger!! I think $14.99 for a 3.5 oz skein of the woobles yarn is highway robbery. If yarn prices keep going up, I won't be able to afford yarn. I'll have to go out in the field with the cows and horses and start crocheting the grass. LOL!!

⁠how much did all this cost today. I think if you need colors, go to your yarn stash. There’s enough to make the whole world a blanket. Sell off all the stuff you have done and put towards a house with a barn. That way you won’t have to pay rent for yarn storage.

For all the locals, that store is in Kansas City Missouri (not Kansas). The one on Barry Rd. Looks much better stocked than most of the other stores in the KC metro area.

The Woobles are so cute, I bought the book but I just can’t bring myself to pay that much for a kit. Bernat Maker Home Dec is a good dupe for Easy Peasy yarn. You won’t get the same color pallet but you get a lot more yarn for cheaper.

IMHO the entire Woobles line is ridiculously priced and not worth it. Kinda scammy, in fact. Maybe it’s just me. Aside from the clever patter on the labels I would avoid it entirely. The kits are outrageous. I’m annoyed with Joann at the moment anyway. I buy most of my yarn online and I can be assured anything I want, they are out of stock. Grumble grumble.

When I started amigurumi, I purchased some of this on Amazon. Paid less than what J’s is selling it. I don’t like it, I’m not a fan of Woobles in general. The yarn section at my local J’s is a mess they have lots in display boxes instead of the permanent shelving

I’ll be honest, and it’s an unpopular opinion- I love the woobles yarn. I wouldn’t have been able to learn to crochet if it weren’t for the woobles, and I did find the yarn extremely beginner friendly. Now that I know what I’m doing, I absolutely prefer different yarns and different projects. When they first put their yarn on Amazon, I remembering paying $11.99 per skein (and only did that with a gift card!) and I believe it may have been a slightly larger skein than that. I’m a little sad if they’re increasing the price for potentially less yarn, because I think the hype and the ease of use make it extremely beginner friendly!
