New Year Acrylic Nails - Russian Almond with Encapsulated Clock Charms

Happy New Year!!!!! It’s time for some New Years Eve Nails - see what I did there?
I’ve already sculpted the pointer, pinky and thumb out with a clear base and Sapphire Satin
So I’m going to apply my form to the two accent nails and dehydrate and prime the nails. I’m starting with a clear base and then fade the Blue Acrylic from the cuticle towards the tip on the first nail. I’m going to bend my cogs to fit the curve of the nail and apply them to the nail with clear acrylic and cap. I’ll repeat the process on the other nail, encapsulating a clock as well in the nail. File and buff as usual. I’m then going to use acrygel and topcoat to apply my normal stones to all of the nails and finish with cuticle oil.

Thank you for the tip in the description box about bending the cogs prior to applying. I recently tried to use charms and my nails are shorter yet curved so I couldn’t get the larger pieces to lay properly. I thought the charm would break if i bent it. Now i can try the design I had in mind again☺️

That's such a unique New Year's Eve design, it's really cool. I love that blue too, it's stunning. Come to Australia for New Year's Eve, it's so hot at the moment the ACT had to cancel their fireworks and Sydney was considering the same thing because of the bushfire risk. I think at 21 degrees as the high of the day Melbourne (where I am) is the coldest of the capital cities.

@@claire-amel It's heartbreaking. All my school camps were in Gippsland, my school even has a huge property out near Mallacoota. I hated those camps but I find myself wondering if those camps are still there. I can't think of a single state not on fire at the moment. The only saving grace is the amazing stories of communities coming together and of course all the wonderful efforts of the firefighters.

I wish I could get my nails done well and even decorated like this!! I have hyperhydrosis so I’ve never been able to have a manicure without sweaty hands, and just haven’t had a good experience at salons with techs. It’s always a very disappointing experience for me.
