Hi Diya, My niece also had the same issue as Zayn. My niece talks well now. Her brother also completed 1 year in November but hasn't started talking yet. I'm sure he too will start talking, though late. Dont worry, this is just a phase. It will pass. You had mentioned in your old video that Kaya too had an issue in childhood but now she is out of it. Look how well she's doing. You and your family had overcome that hurdle. So don't worry, things will work out, at its designated time. Sending hugs❤❤ Zayn going to the community centre is very good. He'll start talking as he has to interact with other kids & play with them. 😊 Seeing kids similar to his age will help him.

Hey Diya ..I have been following your videos since a long time and I’m definitely inspired by you … I live in the USA and have 3 kids … my eldest son will turn 8 in April …. He didn’t speak until the age of 3 … although he knew everything he just wouldn’t speak ….even when he started speaking after he turned 3….his speech wasn’t clear … I remember at his 18 months wellness check…the pediatrician first bring up the term autism spectrum disorder ( I was super scared) my son used to flap his hands at the time (he still does and walks on tip-toes) we got him evaluated and the psychiatrist didn’t put him on the spectrum …she told that every child is different and hence the term spectrum… that said, I would advise you to wait until he’s 3 or 4 to get him evaluated… meanwhile you can work with him with the help of online videos and engaging with him … with kids on the spectrum…u need to make sure that they have a routine and u need to communicate with them beforehand if there’s a change in routine ( I’m pretty sure you must be reading up on it) all being said, each child’s journey is different and there can’t be a common yardstick to measure their achievements at every stage … he will learn everything at his own pace … stay strong ….at the end it all works out 😊

The findings you see in him is highly developmental also in addition to other congenital factors. It's a blessing that you figured it out sooner.Lots of out door and other sensory plays and a reliable play school environment in addition to therapy can do wonders.First three years of consistency will help for a long run.

I have an 8 month old and the mental and physical strength it takes to manage everything while also trying to not lose yourself completely in the process is overwhelming. Kudos to you and Parth to be able to navigate through this all beautifully. More power to you 🙂

That’s so true. The kind of OCD I have, I am sure I definitely fall under spectrum. Just that our times, there was no diagnoses or labeling. Now when I recall, there were so many of my classmates who were somewhere on the spectrum but since there was no diagnosis no one even cared. Life was easy then. Not sure, now with the awareness, if life is difficult or easy. 😅

Hi Diya, i appreciate your efforts in home making.Honestly lots to learn from you. Your energies are always high. Lots of love to kids and they are powerful souls. As a friend would suggest I want to say you can hire a full-time maid at your place. Parth can concentrate on his office work while you can do more KZbin. New baby, buying a home, Europe trip in the same year was not a good planning i feel. If KZbin is forcing you to overspend then that's a trap. Good finances will keep your relationships also good. Better late than never. Thoughts manifest- you can try with Zayn. I somehow always felt you both as a couple are overdoing and especially Parth as he has a full-time job. It's not easy with 2 kids to manage, time, energy and money. Just prioritize. Do not hesitate to spend money on maids. Take care and all is well .

Hi Diya, more strength and power to you! You go through every challenge with a lot of grace and lightness, at least it seems like that. A quick tip for tomatoes- cut them in half and grate them on the cut side. You get instant purée and the skin stays behind. I do this for my baby.

Hii Dii, please dont worry..now a days everyone is using the term spectrum & ADHD for no reason..yes, there maybe delay in achieving milestones or child being more active, cant make final decision based on one factor..its not a reason to worry as long as we are there to support our child and provide with better options as early as possible.. My son was diagnosed with ADHD, he has some behavioural issues though he is an active & intelligent kid, as young parents we made some mistakes in parenting, we constulted a doc, made changes in parenting + no screen time and there, he is getting better..an early intervention and positive mindset will lead to best results..we know how parents feel during such situations but if we are not going to be happy or positive then who else will? Lots of love dii, take care..❤

My daughter spoke in bits and pieces until the age of four, after which she improved significantly in her speech. She was referred for speech therapy, but as parents, we began to take her out more frequently to play and connect with other children. Nursery is an excellent area for children to develop their sensory abilities and begin to develop speaking. We used to read her storybooks and encourage her to repeat words. While I understand that every child is unique, I wanted to give credit to you and other mothers for everything they do. Things will ultimately fall into place, and I'm sending you a big hug.

@@jhumpachanda8744 Hi Dr . My daughter was very hyper and with that lot of inattention was there . Very active child. Her speech was getting delayed out of that. I slowly started working on that . I noticed she likes coloring. Slowly I started giving coloring sheets . Initially she used to sit only few minutes gradually increased time interval to increase sitting tolerence . Like this so many activities small small puzzles , tracing lines , beeding e..t.c. I did it in months 2. Story telling ( age based one ) and asking her questions. Start with flashcards like colors, fruits and you can probe many questions in this 3. My strong suggestion is that cut down from tv mobile and other gadgets 4.closely observe your child what might be the trouble with your child 3. Consistency is very important. Its hard but by 5-6 they all find their groove and the thing we need to remember is that growth is never linear. And love conquers all. My daughter too was prescribed to have speech delay and hence be on the spectrum, I went for a second opinion as eye contact should be the first thing to be considered before announcing kids to be on the spectrum which the second doc confirmed. I did enroll her in a regular school early and introduced speech therapy as well and now she is a chirpy one extremely bright in class! Zain will be just fine early interventions are always better and you're doing great. Sending hugs❤

I can completly understand and relate to your concern as I was shattered too, to discover about my daughter being on the spectrum despite hitting all the developmental milestones on time. Seem like this is becoming as common as cough and cold. Nevertheless, optimism is the only hope and early intervention will do wonders. Please don't feel dejected at any moment and reach out to support groups. I can share more information as I am located around the same area as yours. Let me know if I can be of any help to you. Since we spoke in a mixture of Bengali and English, and our maids and people around us in Hindi she only spoke 1 or 2 words but could understand everything we said to her. One visit to Kolkata had it sorted, miraculously she started talking in Bangla within a month she was absolutely normal. This probably it was because the people around us in Kol, only spoke Bangla all the time. Try speaking to him in one language if u r already not doing it. All my blessings to Zayne! I will keep him in my prayers!

Hello Diya, I am one of ur regular follower who loves ur video . Coming to zyan , as a motherhood I know there is stress but nothing as such to worry a lot . He is start talking but little slow than other kids . My uncle son too started talking very late post 3years old and now he is the most talkative kid in our family. And regarding this doctor said since he can hear things so yes he can talk too , it's of no use going to doctor . Just keep on actively talking with zyan which will drastically help him. Please don't worry as ur mother of two kids ur mental and physical health matters a lot too .

My second son started talking a little late. His paediatrician suggested language development. But one thing that helped us was we stuck to speaking in one language ie English. After that he started to respond back. Now he’s fluent in English & understands Tamil. Don’t lose heart. Boys are a little slow with the development milestones but they’ll eventually get there. So don’t worry.

Don't lose hope, my son would hardly talk till he was 3, 3 schools rejected him, a doc asked me to put him under ADHD medication and i refused. After his current school took him in , he blossomed within a year and is as normal as a kid can be now. He is 15 now and I thank God every day that I did not heed in to what the docs said. He will blossom don't worry 😊

Being a mother of a boy almost same age I can totally relate on the messing part 😅 don’t worry about the baby he is active and speech delay is quite common these days but he’ll keep up soon. People put too much pressure on parents for baby’s each milestone but we mothers should give no heed to them. Let kid be on his/her own pace. Afterall mother knows the best and you’re anyways best at whatever you do. Keep shining and keep inspiring 🎉❤

Hi Diya .. I’m sorry to hear you have been struggling. I can totally understand what it must feel like to see your child not being able to meet developmental milestones. As much as a diagnosis can be an explanation of what is going on, I wanted to come here and tell you it is not a definitive prediction of what your child’s life will be like. A lot of children respond really well to alternative learning methods. My own nephew was non verbal for a long time and persistent effort on my sister’s part to take him to speech therapy paid off. Don’t get discouraged by doctors and their predictions for your child. Modern medicine as wonderful as it is can also be very pessimistic about conditions it does not understand well enough. Keep going and connect with other parents especially people in countries like the US, UK and Australia where people have more experience dealing with these conditions. You might find that people have been able overcome a lot through sheer persistence. I wish you the best. 👍

Hi Diya, I am saying this based on my experience with my son who did not talk till 21 months. CoComelon videos are not good for young children. It has lot of visual stimulation for young brains. My son used to watch CoComelon on his meal time every day and I stopped it completely and then he started talking. Now he does not even know that there is songs or cartoon in tv .. he forgot it completely.. Stopping screen time helped with his eating also. I know each kid is unique., so it’s always better to take guidance from experts.but in someway if it helps little zayn, I am glad.. hugs to zayn baby❤

So sorry to hear that you were going through rough time Diya ! As a mother, I can totally understand how stressful and exhausting all this can be. Somehow when I look at Zayn, he is able to follow your instructions very well, does independent play(it can be quick to come to this conclusion just by looking few minutes of your day ) but I have a strong feeling he is going to be okay and will be hitting all the milestones!! Wishing you nothing but the best

Hi Diya i am an ardent follower of your vlogs and personally love the way you manage and your transparency. I am a child psychologist and have worked with kids on the spectrum for about 20 years now. While watching your videos i almost wanted to reach out to you about Zayn but refrained from doing so. What ever the diagnosis i believe early intervention is key. Trust me labels are meant for jars not people and certainly not children. So please keep routines normal and keep reading so many awesome resources for parents. Reach out if you need support. And keep doing what u do.

Hey sweetheart, don't worry, every child's development is different. You both are a great parent to your children. Both are doing well. In no time, he will start to talk. Play lots of different sounds of music. Watch the children program with your son. Ikea bedroom can't go wrong and looks wonderful😊

Hi Diya! I am a special need Mom. I have 5 yo boy who is in spectrum. For us also speech delay was red flag and that is when we got the diagnosis. I was getting goosebumps while watching your video. I am sure you would be working on pre requisite skills for speech. Zain will start speaking soon🤞It takes lot of courage to accept the fact and once we do then everything just starts improving. Please let me know if I can be of any help to you. Lots of good wishes and good luck!

Hi Diya! Which hob do use? Is it good for heavy indian cooking? Also wanted to mention my daughter started talking after 3 years, we took her for speech therapy and then she started speaking in less than a month. Our therapist told us to stick only one language in front of the kid, so that kid is not confused. My daughter used to understand everything but didn't speak. So please have hope, he will definitely speak. A mother's blessing for him. 🙏

Spend every possible minute with him and soon you will drastic change in ur child. Involve him in ur chores, cooking and whatnot. Everything under the sun, you involve him in that task.
