Just think back to when you were excited about your channel…then do that again. One of the things that I’ve always enjoyed about your channel is how you’re so financially conscious. There’s no need in buying the latest releases. In fact, I tend to not watch channels that are centered around new products. I am also a big fan of your seven looks series. I know it’s probably a lot of work for you, but I miss that series. I often rewatch the old videos because I enjoyed them so much.

I live in the UK and follow a lot of beauty videos. Most of them are based in the US and sometimes I find it difficult to buy some of the products as I don't buy online especially Amazon. There are only a couple I like in the UK. I really enjoy watching you as you are unique and have a similar colour palette to me. Plus I am 70 and I feel your information is good for mature skin. I've noticed a lot of the beauty channels are questioning themselves so it must be a common topic ❤

yes have noticed a few who consider themselves "older" or "mature" who are relatively young (Mandy is young at that point where you have a small child and marrying off children but YOUNG" and while I am "older" I just enjoy make up. I don't obsess on what's good for "mature skin" personally as we all have different issues so what may do good for one not so good for another. I feel many feel.... being more mature "where do they go from here" be it hitting a year that seems older or watching children have children become young grandmothers.... if someone is good with color, thoughts, advice and a smooth voice and sense of humor I could care less if the make up is for younger or older people. Personally I think the key to being more mature is not obsessing on it too much. It's make up, it's fun like coloring or painting and we are past the point where someone might say "are you old enough to wear that type of eye liner"

I like shop my stash type videos, where you go back and try older products. I’d like to see you try different makeup techniques, like varying the style of eyeshadow application, different liner techniques… just mixing it up. I also like recreating another makeup video, like where you pick a look from a photo or a video of a makeup artist or creator and try to recreate it with what you have-I love that type of content. It’s fun and inspires me to try different looks. 😊

I would love for you to speak more about using what you have and mixing colors. And what to do when mistakes happen, how to fix them, how to pull everything together. In this video you mixed your foundation very matter-of-factly. That's not the norm. I see so many big number influencers regularly wear foundation that doesn't match them at all rather than discussing what to do when you have shades you need to mix, either color-wise or finish-wise. I'm on a no buy for 2025 but I want to see content about using what you have, rotating through a collection, figuring out what works and why so that when the sales come next fall, I can treat myself to a few new items but very smartly, knowing what I need and why.

Hi Mandy. Please don't stop your channel. It is always good to see you. Some suggestions... begin to have more of an emphasis on tips & tricks for mature skin, both in makeup & skin care. Don't worry about buying everything new that comes out. Shop your stash! You Especially eyeshadow & blush. You could choose a few brands to follow & review. Drugstore, or affordable brands are always good. Just take your time deciding what you feel the best about doing....

I think you are very relatable. I have read audience engagement is necessary to grow a channel, yet people comment that you never acknowledge or reply. I’ve been following you for a while Mandy. Drugstore and dupes drew me in, because I don’t have the budget for high end. Your sense of humor was appreciated and your down to earth style made you seem like one of us. One of the things I always loved was your outros at the end of your videos (bloopers). I miss that. I don’t want to be overly critical, but I would love to see you interact with the viewers more. People often ask you questions and I don’t see you commenting back. For me, I have quit commenting because it appears like you don’t care and while I don’t mind high end makeup reviews, it has started to feel like, “drugstore is ok, but high end is so much nicer”. That has been a turn off to me personally and I’ve found myself skipping videos because of that. You are a beautiful and lovely woman with much to offer and share. If you don’t love what you’re doing, then examine that and make adjustments. There is a place for you!

My favorite makeup videos are get ready with mes and nothing news, which focus much more on what you already have. From you specifically, anything eyeshadow is my favorite. You could do an updated sydney grace single favorites and curate some palettes that are bigger than the quads you did last time. Also, Jen Phelps has lots of creative videos focusing on under consumption like finding matches for new makeup in her current collection, talking about budget, and such. Another idea could be researching ethics and toxicity of certain ingredients in makeup and talking about that. Clean beauty is nuanced but there aren't many clean beauty youtubers doing reviews and I would find it very helpful (for example, pretty smart is pretty clean and you already like and talk about them and Sydney Grace is talc free)

I was at TJ Maxx today and I found the Pat McGrath eye-cheek palette and the 3 pan blush-bronzer-highlight palette. Less than $20 each. I picked them up just to try them. The 3 pan is a little dark for me so I used a light hand and really blended and used the highlight on my eyelids. Looked wonderful. Loved the eyeshadows, even the hubby noticed and commented how nice my eyes looked. 🥰 It was a little warmer and more red-pink than I usually get, but it worked well with my coloring. I wouldn’t have even looked in the makeup if it wasn’t for you showing that 3 pan. Thanks Mandy 😘🥰

As a nail enthusiast and lover of “builder gel” nails I know that Luminary is a soft gel builder so at home removal is simple ( but can be time consuming). You could remove yourself so you don’t feel trapped in that cycle. I also saw a tech comment that a fill should be a standard price unless there’s tougher fixes which has been my experience too. Asking what the price breakdown and discrepancy is might be helpful to deciding what you want to do moving forward? I love being able to go out my natural nails but it is definitely a costly luxury at times.

I have seen a lot of creators post less, some stop all together. I think the burn out is a lot more common nowadays. I have cut down on how much beauty content I watch because of burn out as well and just knowing what I like and no longer reliant on videos. I have minimized my stash and just use my favorite items. You ultimately have to do what is best for you, but I will thank you for introducing me to Sydney Grace eyeshadows. And glad to hear of the new addition of kitties! Thanks for showing one of them.

There is so much more you can do! Try testing affordable skin care serums, moisturizers and sun screens. Your hair is beautiful! You could test hair products and do styling video’s. Try some fashion video’s. Clothing, shoes, jewelry and accessories. You’re good at what you do. You could also do makeup looks on your sister or your mother. I, for one, would love to see one of your beautiful looks on an older woman.

I had two thoughts while you were talking. One thing you could focus on is the skin care prep you do before applying makeup. This can be so confusing... and expensive. I would love to get your opinion on what types of serums and moisturizers to buy that is affordable. The other thing that would be fun is to have older models and do their makeup on camera. (Incuding the skin prep) There are many content artists that focus on the 40/50 age group but not much for older women. My skin really began to show age in my 60s. As we age, one of the biggest problems are the makeup sittling into wrinkles. It would be great to see videos on tips and tricks for a full makeup routine. Your video on applying eyeshadow in 15 minutes was a game changer for me.

I don't know, not sure what to tell you as a writer/blogger sometimes you hit a moment when you think "why am I doing this" or "is what I'm doing adding anything new" or other negative thoughts based on a trending mood, lifestyle change or just a mood. What I do know is you are my favorite channel and favorite "beauty influencer" as you are unlike most, very "real" and your style of speaking, sharing is "real" ( I know, I said that already) and you have a good eye and are realistic about the quandry of "is this too much money" vs "the quality is incredible and I'm always going to use a Natasha Denona Palette even if... not every day. On a side note, when I'm restless or moody or tired of the same old stuff online or on air I look for your videos as your voice and style calms me, making me smile and feel good again about life and the simple beauty sometimes of Makeup! That said the committment of always updating, putting out content begins to feel like a chore not a fun adventure. I know, trust me. And, there's always someone faster as the song goes... quicker on the draw to jump on some new product that suddenly every single person is going to jump on until KZbin is filled with "Swatching Huda is It Worth It" lol but I do believe your viewers love you for who you are and that you are different from the parade on TicToc or YT who while sometimes giving good info seem fake and annoying. You are never fake nor annoying. And, as someone said your sense of humor is wonderful and listening to you laugh is almost as good as listening to you talk. That being said I do understand burn out! what about and question and answer type segment? it could be every other to begin with, your fans could write in with questions and you could help us with our makeup/skin product questions. I just wanted to jump in on your comments about not knowing about your direction. You are about my son’s age & I found you a couple of years ago. I have you on everyday as I put on my makeup. I sometimes turn you on as I’m in the makeup aisle. I have learned so much from you. Your voice is like visiting with a friend. Sometimes I go back to four years ago when you haven’t posted in a while, just to listen to you. I’d miss you if I knew you weren’t here, even if once a week. I understand though. I have a blog & about a few hundred posts & when people encourage me to post more. It’s overwhelming & I want to tell them there are hundreds they haven’t read yet!😂 But I GET IT. People want fresh & up to date posts. 🤷‍♀️ I just wanted to remind others that you have over 4 years of posts to go & find while you are choosing what’s next for you! I just wanted you to know that you ARE appreciated & I am excited when I see your new posts pop up in my feed. I’ve tried following other makeup tutorials & I always come back to you! You are just easy to listen to & I love your stories that you share in between. I’ve also been meaning to ask you about a few new makeup finds & if you tried them. The wow mascara? it Mascara? Laura Geller baked illuminating foundation? I know these aren’t drugstore prices & I love your duped videos but was just wondering about these in particular. I love using mascara primer before mascara. I have only used primers that are white. To me, it conditions my lashes so they don’t dry out and break and makes the mascara go on better than just on bare lashes. I have been using primer for probably 20 years.
